It has been a while, but I still remember your face!

I think now that I’m middle aged, I’ve veered off the mainstream anime highway, and am happy to just slowly trundle by, in a bubble of my own, off the beaten track. I’m only interested in pleasing myself these days, and have no interest in trends or what’s popular, or how other people might view me.

I saw the first season of Solo Levelling last year and wasn’t impressed (so I won’t be watching the sequel), and the first Dandadan episode put me off wanting to continue. Of course, there will be people out there who like those aforementioned titles, and I understand there are lots of diverse tastes/preferences out there, and infinite unique personalities. It’s almost like a fingerprint, where there are no 2 MAL users who are exactly identical in all their scores and favourites.

Sometimes, I wonder if may brain has started changing because of age, and I’m no longer able to gain peak enjoyment from anime. Luckily, some things do occasionally turn up, to take me once more, to those magical and fantastical places. The new Beastars was amazingly engrossing and entertaining, and I’m looking forward to the second half (was surprised when it turned out to be double cour), and I enjoyed Apothecary Diaries last year, so I will be tuning into the sequel that’s just started airing. The first 2 new Dr. Stone eps made me smile with its upbeat humor and charismatic lead genius scientist/inventor, and the latest Bleach TYBW has been good for an action/teenage protagonist series. How about you? I didn’t want to ramble on too much about things which you might not like or know about, so I just name-dropped a few things without going into details.

How is The Beginning After the End? I've heard good things about it.

Re:Zero is pretty good but I couldn't really get into Dandadan.

Yes, there have been plenty of releases that I have liked! Though, as for the new season, I haven't started it yet.
