Naruto: Shippuden for me, is considered to be an era-defining show; It was something that was culturally influential for the time it was established and arguably STILL is to this day, and has helped shape what anime is generally today. Its by no means a perfect show, and that's what the detail of this review is for. But for what it is, it's something I do recommend people to watch and find themselves to invest their time in when they could.
Animation (8/10) - This was a show that ran from 2007 - 2017; Standing the test of time generally, it's animation style is starting to
...
become definitive for its time. It doesn't hurt the viewing experience that much imo, but I do have to say: In comparison to its continuation, Naruto (2002), this one have a noticeably better quality. The movements of the characters are more fluid, and has a more expressive tones onto it.
I guess the only criticism I have is Studio Pierrot Co. (its producers), must've started slacking or doing budget cuts at the later parts of its run after The Great War arc concluded because its definition plummeted at around 480-500 episodes deep with some characters lacking details and shading as they used to. But for the majority of its run, I think they did a good job.
Storyline (9/10) - Compared to Naruto (2002), this one has a much RICHER storyline. It still bottomlines on the occurrence of The Great War, but all the major arcs that leads slowly onto that progression is seriously action-packed and filled with sensational expositions. A lot of its side characters, especially the antagonists are also well-written in terms of their backstories, purposes and so, that you can't help but appreciate both the spectrum of good and evil as the conflicts unfolds. Also has a lot of blowing and major deaths so, keep your heads up for that.
I guess one of the major flaw that I have that kept it from being a 10: Is the excruciating filler episodes and arcs they have. And sometimes they even come along in the MIDDLE of the main arc! As a breather I suppose or to extend their runtime? Idk but it's definitely annoying. Just like Naruto (2002), sometimes it would only be a couple of episodes which can be bearable but there are instances where it could span up to 10-12 eps or something. So it's like a Russian Roulette. And oftentimes those fillers don't even have any direct affect to the main story, so its basically just a waste of time. Definitely the drawback to its perfection.
Music (9/10) - Having ten years of total time to simmer on the kitchen, it definitely had a lot of time to cook a lot of bangers and a versatile soundtrack library. It still has its trademark of Traditional Japanese-like thematic mostly on its background music that implements a rich flavor of woodwind, strings and percussion harmonies.
But in terms of OSTs, it invested a lot on Japanese Rock which they did very well because a lot of the famous songs associated with the show came from this type of genre. Most notably Blue Bird, Silhouette, Sign and more, typically relying on fast-paced guitar riffs, crashing drums and snares, raw and energetic vocals into a singularity of a melody; The type of thing that would make your head bang and get drawn onto the tunes. Very lit, if you'd ask me. So props to that.

Solo Leveling is a manhwa adaptation that focuses on this guy named Sung Jinwoo and his gradual rise as the Weakest Hunter in his cinematic universe, to the Strongest One by accidentally hacking onto the system; I have to say it was a fun watch for what it is but, it's definitely not the most original concept that exists out there. Btw this is a review that combines both Season 1 and 2.
Animation (8/10) - Oh, I think they did a great job with it. It's quality was very consistent throughout and it is quite noticeable that they did allot some buck for this project.
...
The characters' movements are fluid especially on fight scenes, their motion highlights also stand out when utilized and it is definitely above average for an action show in this time and age.
Storyline (5/10) - This is where I found most of the issues that kind of held it back. It's a story that is easy to follow, yes. But it's just not that original. Prior to even the release of its well-renowned novel, a lot of concepts alike to this has already taken place. Regular/feeble guy discovers an anomaly and capitalizes on that to move up to the world.
Aside from that, it kind of lacks depth, although there's somehow a clear outline on what Jinwoo is trying to establish, but a lot of the times he's just put in a pedestal too much (aka glazed) and I can just feel him aurafarming on multiple occasions which is too unnecessary and makes his fight victories kind of unsatisfying. Because as the story progress, he just becomes way too overpowered which is another concern; But basically thats it too generic for a plot + Jinwoo's kinda broken and written too shallow.
Music (7/10) - As far as to their music, I have no complaints. Its thematics on how they create their songs remind me of Imagine Dragons, but more Japanese-centric and a bit of rock-techno centric; Which is really complimentary to its somewhat, fantasy-esque / action-packed nature and contemporary grit. Maybe my only criticism is their library is a bit limited.

This for me was a very eccentric yet somehow fun anime to watch; If DanDaDan was a dish, I feel like its chef just shoved a bunch of random ingredients on the cooking pot, hoped for the best, and it somehow turned out edible lol. I wouldn't say it was 'terrible' but it definitely took me some time to wrap my head around it. That's what at least think of, for Season 1.
Animation (8/10) - I think the show did a good job of being expressive in terms of its animation and color palette selections. The characters have fluid and distinct movements especially on fight
...
scenes, showcases vibrant hues that projects the characters' emotions and situation effectively during some particular, intense moments. I have no complaints and I think it was one of the best aspects they have within the show's entirety.
Storyline (5.5/10) - The storyline's a bit over the place lol; One episode they're fighting ghosts, the other they're fighting aliens. I feel like the characters lack purposes and the progression bit of the story is too straightforward as well. I can't really decipher what they're trying to establish ultimately in general, especially with their newfound powers (aside from retrieving Ken's golden balls) but... to say the least I would say it's not boring lol;
It has a mix of shounen romance, action, comedy, slice-of-life and a bit of some well-written drama too, especially on that episode where one of the protagonists' friends, Aira, absorbs the power of the ghost that stalks her. They did a masterful job, creating that particular line of the story. I just wish it would've been more consistent, being impactful like that. But right now its scattered, and they could use a more commanding direction and coherence on how the story would progress itself in the long run lol.
Music (7/10) - Its library somehow reminds me of the Persona (video game) franchise in terms of its overall vibe; Although it lacks variety in genre due to its limited number of records, it does well heavily investing and combining J-Pop and Electronic tracks altogether. Very atmospheric especially on heavy action scenes and their OST is lowkey catchy for what it is. So props to that.

As of writing this review, I am at the beginning of Zou Saga arc and I may update this from time to time — Needless to say, it is one of the most iconic and longest running shows of all time, spanning up to 1000+ episodes as of writing this and it is not a bad time investment in my opinion for entertainment if you are into the classic, shounen type of anime. I wouldn't say that it's LIFE-CHANGING but its definitely a good/fun watch and is quite action-packed for what it is.
Animation (7/10) - Over the years it saw a steady adaptation to the
...
standards of the industry; It can be really easy to tell what year were the episodes were released just from eyeballing its quality. So in totality it doesn't have a steady line of trademark, its more of an evolutionary thing for the eras' it goes along with as its runtime continues. I wouldn't say they have something masterpiece-like going on, but its not terrible considering they release weekly too.
Storyline (7/10) - I think they are doing a good job, gradually showing Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates' progression as they go along; It is very rich in unique and personable characters (even for the filler episode ones!) whether may they be friends or villains. They are quite easy to digest too. But the problem I have is, the pacing of their storytelling is way too slow. That's why it has over a thousand episodes, and I feel like it could be faster, not gonna lie.
Music (8/10) - They have a lot of memorable and catchy soundtracks over the years; Whether it may be songs or the ones used for battles; It typically fit its introspection of adventure, action and pursuit of legacy in general. Heavily forefronts trumpets for its orchestration backed by violins, strings and woodwinds. Very trademarked on how they produced their pieces which gives them distinct identity. Although minor concern, they lack a little bit of versatility since their compositions have already been established.

One of the most classic shounen anime of all-time; But this review in particular will focus on the childhood adventures of Naruto Uzumaki and how he navigated his journey on becoming stronger as a ninja. It's a long ride of an anime compared to today's standard but I do recommend it as a starter anime to watch.
Animation (6.5/10) - It is good for its time in the early 2000s. But its quality is really showing of its age that it was something published a long time ago. As a casual, it wouldn't be too obtrusive with the viewing experience but there are compilations online showing
...
that in a closer look, the show at times cheaped itself out lol. But still majority of the battle scenes especially were decent so props onto it.
Storyline (7.5/10) - I think its major arcs were really good and can hook you up easily. But the thing about Naruto in general is, they have dragging filler episodes. Sometimes its just by an episode, sometimes a whole bulk of it which I think was one of the things that really shaved off some points to this ranking. But still, their main story is enjoyable and really a distinguishable build-up for a greater progression in their series' future.
Soundtrack (8.5/10) - Naruto has one of the catchiest and versatile music library I've ever heard on. From the OSTs, sound effects, background music and so. They are really enjoyable and memorable to listen to both inside and outside of the show's context. It ranges from Rock, Traditional Japan, a bit of Japanese Pop and so on. Couldn't complain.

A light-hearted and fun slice-to-life show wherein we can watch Komi, a seemingly reserved protagonist with a warm personality go through an interpersonal journey with the goal of creating 100 friends in high school. It's a very cute anime to watch especially if you're looking for something to lighten your mood.
Animation (7/10) - Its on-par with the standards of a modern anime show; Nothing too special but its well-done nonetheless for what it is. There are glimpses of extra effort when it comes to detailing some scenes it wants to highlight especially on closeup and intimate ones but most of the times it doesn't deviate
...
onto anything special nor unacceptable, so... Nice.
Storyline (7/10) - Its storyline pacing is on-par with its manga original apparently, and its very obvious as the show goes along; Its done in an episodic manner wherein it has a main continuity in terms of concept but a different focus and setting on each episodes it has. Which makes it really digestible especially for casual watchers.
Soundtrack (7/10) - Its library is very suitable for its slice-of-life thematic — Made for easy-listening and just has very soothing vibes. Good to like play along maybe in a hotel lounge o maybe just your living room, outside of the show's context. But on the storyline's contexts it syncs decently on helping to portray certain moods and narrations.

This show to me was if a Summertime Saga fan created a fantasy/adventure anime because it is straight up perverted. Be careful on watching this thing especially on public. I can hardly recommend it lol.
Animation (5/10) - Its animation to me is borderline passable. It didn't stood out too much and it felt like it was on mass-produced by a B-tier production house. Very standard schematics and fantasy-color scheming and it felt like watching a show from the early to mid 2010s making it a few years behind. Untimely but could be worst.
Storyline (2/10) - This creation was made from the mind of just somebody
...
with some sort of porn addiction; The protagonist gains a new superpower after having sex ffs and it even had furry-based characters on it. After a plot problem was solve, the protagonist would just have sex on them almost every time at the end to grow stronger. Its odd and its concept setting aside sex is something that is not even unique to say the least considering there are already hundreds of fantasy adventure anime shows out there. Crazy.
Soundtrack (5.5/10) - To me its soundtrack are decent; They are somewhat versatile with their library. It feels like they can be good enough to be utilized on video game projects revolving fantasy and adventures. But nothing too memorable if I am being honest. It's mediocre, meaning good but a bit forgettable too. Nothing that can evoke any strong feelings out of you. Props to it still though.

A show that delves into unique, post-war human experiences in a heartfelt level; Its a show that ultimately reminds us the beauty and frailty of humanity; Although it was a relatively short project, it found a way to pack various stories as it progresses. Couldn't recommend it enough.
Animation (10/10) - A quintessential example of a project that was well-budgeted; Each movements on this show whether coming from a character or inanimate objects and sceneries comes along very-distinct and I'd argue almost Ghibli-esque. It was also great on evoking certain moods and atmospheres through its selective color usages (One of the most notable is the consistent
...
portrayal of hope whether the blue skies are being shown). The details engraved into this show are very distinct even to the most minute details.
Storyline (9/10) - What I found amusing is although it only has a limited number of episodes, it didn't sticked in a subject point. The protagonist was able to meet people from various perspectives, which was very essential in developing her individuality in consideration of her heartless upbringing. The characters were created in a cognizant threshold of memorable level, serving very essential in building up the protagonist's long-run of the story.
Soundtrack (8/10) - Its soundtrack library consistently invested itself into classical songs and compositions, which was very harmonizing and allude to its theme, concept and storyflow. I do appreciate it for what it is. You can expect to feel at peace if you decided to give it a listen outside of the show's context, and are still good on aiding the show's narration and scene depictions.

As of the moment I see this show as a light-anime that is really good to watch in a casual basis. The story of it invests on the characters really heavily over the fact that the two major characters live a double life, under slice-of-life circumstances with an easygoing major arc. I recommend it for fans in anime who are looking for somewhere to start. Its an interesting show.
Animation (8/10) - I like its animation personally, its really bright, detailed at times and has a very modern quality touch into it. Also I never seen it recycle some frames that much, if there ever were
...
instances. The actions during fight scenes too are distinct and really for what it is, in this category there is nothing much to complain.
Storyline (7/10) - It is slightly slow for my liking but, I do understand its appeal. And each episode feels like a slice-of-life skits which then transitions over some time later to its major arc for spying. I do have to admit though that it really has a really creative plot in which suits well, designing it for easy viewing without making it too goofy and pointless. It's a good watch.
Music (7.5/10) - The show leans heavily on a J-Pop music library which is a suitable choice considering that it is mostly a casual-action anime, and a lot of them are on a quite cheery too. Something you may see in a TikTok content, is a good visualization for it. Enough said.

An anime that was really iconic during its time; It was produced during the early 2000s and it was a quintessential A-tier closely up there with the likes of Naruto, One Piece, DBZ and such during its height. Although there are some factors that really stained its ratings for me and I'd discuss it in this review. Nonetheless if you got time to kill, I don't mind recommending it.
Animation (7.5/10) - It has a trademark that was nice for its era, also throughout the entire 366 episodes you would see its animation quality slightly evolve which was an indication that its producers actively spent some
...
time and money during its run. Although on some fights it feels like they are reusing frames which was a common thing for older, action-based animes. Nonetheless, I do not think it'd hurt your viewing experience in any major way.
Storyline (5/10) - Do not get me wrong, its major arcs were great and entertaining. But the way this anime pumps out its filler episodes is through arcs and you'd have to mostly sit through 15-30 episodes of nothing but canon stories which is agonizing. Also, its pacing in general is a little slow. Probably because they are trying to maximize their television runtime then but still, I personally think its these two factors that really held the show back for what its worth. Could've had a higher score, seriously.
Soundtrack (8/10) - Its music library and sound engineering was good! I personally liked it. They have a flexible selection of music ranging from rock, ballad, J-Pop and such that they chose for their intros and extros, and all the sounds and ambience effects they utilized were really atmospheric and distinct. So props on that.
