I had to watch an episode again because the first two times, I just couldn’t handle it or really grasp what it was about.

The theme of death didn’t affect me the way it does now, especially since, I recently went through that experience myself...

I can honestly say this episode helped me release a lot of emotions. Each scene in the final minutes felt like a cleansing — a way to let go and process everything I’ve been feeling.

I really loved the vibe this story gave off, it felt different and fresh.

A must watch if you want something different.

Due to the Summer 2025 seasonal 'Secrets of the Silent Witch' featuring a girl with social anxiety just around the corner, I reckon I might as well watch this anime where comparisons will eventually be made.

Bocchi the Rock! is a popular anime and it deserves its high ratings. Bocchi is relatable for the vast majority of introvert weebs.

§ Overview

Gotou Hitori is a self-taught guitarist who has always fancied playing in a band and getting popular. The problem? She has extreme social anxiety and can't even be relied on to do simple stuff such as buying from a convenience store. For someone who wants to ...

All Aboard the Unknown: A Review of Shuumatsu Train Doko e Iku?

There’s something inherently compelling about a journey into the unknown — especially when it’s done on rails. *Shuumatsu Train Doko e Iku?* (Where Does the Doomsday Train Go?) doesn’t just ride that mystery, it builds a whole surreal world around it, delivering a strange but strangely comforting post-apocalyptic adventure that feels like a cross between *Girls’ Last Tour* and *Wonder Egg Priority* — only this time, the setting moves with every passing station.

A Journey Unlike Any Other

At its core, the anime is a road-trip — or rather, rail-trip — story, but what sets *Shuumatsu ...

Don't watch this anime. Serial Experiments Lain, this show is not simply just a show, despite how it appears this is a prophecy in the anime format.

Despite me not recommending this show I definetly apppreciate the level of detail this show has. This show goes beyond anime level depth to describe an existential crisis of both technological and relativism identities. I'm going to go ahead and say the good things about this show first, then the bad, and finally why I don't recommend it.

Firstly the good:
This show is sooo excellently designed with the characters level of depth. It's very incredible and very rare to ...

I wish it were better. Fell very flat development wise, especially for the characters, and unresolved by the end.

The art style and animation in some key scenes was pretty, and I feel like there's something here but really was not fleshed out well enough to feel more than the one note and clichés the characters and story beats fell into. Also pacing felt off for what emotional and story development that did happen.

Can't really recommend or call it a must watch for all these things, but def a quick, easy watch if you're into this setting/story type.

Man, I really wish it were better. ...

Solo Leveling amps up the ante that started bubbling up during season 1. If you liked the first season, there's really no reason why you shouldn't love this one. The story progresses in a very serious and satisfying way, elevating to crazy new heights that you wouldn't have thought possible based on season 1. Straight up, season 2 is an improvement from the last.

The art style might be fast and hard to follow sometimes, but the crisp and clear nature of it when it's settled and readable makes it easy to fall in love with. The art style is subtle but powerful, paving the ...

I was very close to rating Jojo's Season One a 6/10, but due to nostalgia, I have to put it up to at least an 8/10. Naruto was the first anime I ever watched, but Jojo's was the first (and only) anime I REALLY got into and became obsessed with. Because it's fun; surprisingly so! This is my first rewatch in at least four years, and I forgot how funny a lot of this show is. I have a lot of problems with part one (imo half of it could've been cut out and we wouldn't be missing anything), but part two is SO damn ...

Pedo bait generic isekai mc.

Just a middle-aged hikkamori living his fantasy of being a pedo, imagine the guy from Welcome to NHK got isekaied. Sure, the magic stuff is cool, the animation is good, and the world-building is also good (not super good like Tensei Slime, but good). Still, all of that doesn't even matter when scene after scene of the mc being weird is thrown straight at your face. Anyone who genuinely likes this is a straight weirdo.

The worst part is I enjoy a character from this anime, but that doesn't matter because I won't sit through episode after episode of this due to ...

Easily recommend this starter donghua to watch
This donghua is action based Legend of Galactic Heroes (if you have watched the japanese anime you know) SciFi donghua animation perhaps it even surpasses the Legend of Galactic Heroes in terms of animation, graphics, action frames

The SciFi battle ship scenes were the best upgrade even to the Legend of Galactic Heroes remastered version
There's more focus on tactical solo action flare by the protagonist compared to the Logh strategic groupt battle ship formations

Politics theme in this donghua is certainly its weakest point as the common stereotypical tropes in donghua are present in this donghua compared ...

The anime is solid mid. You surely will not remember much about it later nor will you think it was really great but it is enjoyable and just good enough to make you watch the next episode. It is watchable.
The animation is pretty good and it really is the best thing the anime has. Fight scenes are decent.
The plot is decent. Its pretty generic, the fallen demon lord wakes up in the future and tries to reclaim his power. Thats about it. It is not like that certain demon lord anime where the demon lord gets reincarnated and just tries to make a life where ...

When it comes to raw power and magnetic charm, Minoru Mineta stands alone as the undisputed heavyweight champ of My Hero Academia. His quirk? Those unforgettable, outrageously sticky balls—spheres of strength and dominance so potent they could hold down a villain faster than any punch. If One For All had a crown, Mineta would wear it proudly atop his glorious head (and, of course, alongside his legendary sticky balls).

Mineta’s balls aren’t just sticky—they are living symbols of his virile power and heroic spirit. Each ball is a perfectly crafted orb of adhesive might, carrying the weight of his confidence and unshakable resolve. These balls embody ...

Highlights

Unique Premise: The blend of ninjas, NEET culture, and romantic comedy is certainly distinct and provides a fresh take on the slice-of-life genre.
Gag-Oriented Humor: The show leans heavily into wacky and madcap slapstick comedy, with jokes generally landing well for fans of that style.
Charming Lead Kunoichi: Shizuri's blend of powerful ninja skills and her utterly relatable otaku habits makes her a charming and often funny character. Her gradual development of feelings for Tsukasa is also a key part of the appeal.
Fanservice: The series features fanservice, with many female characters ...

When I decided to pick up The Familiar of Zero after dropping season 1 for reasons I still don't remember, I didn't expect myself to become so invested in an anime. This anime has consistently kept me interested and entertained. Season 3 was a bit eh but made up for it in the second half in my opinion but overall it was still good. Season 4 for me fixed so many of the issues that I had with season 3 and managed to wrap up the story lines in a pretty great way and I am so glad I watched this entire series.

After completing 428 anime series, over 10 years of watching that media, this is the first review I've written.
It's not the best anime ever of whatever type. It's not perfect from the second one to the last one. But it is the perfect representation of what I love in anime.
There are several levels that you can understand as you grow older. I can see myself loving it at 15, 18, 25, or even today, and I know that I wouldn't have loved it for the same reason at every step of the way. I could argue that Fate/Zero had better fight scenes, Mushoku Tensei ...

ranma retto review

This anime is nice and entertaining, but it doesn’t adapt faithfully the manga and it doesn’t get it, so keep this in mind if you decide to watch it.
If you want to approach Ranma 1/2 I personally recommend the remake or the manga, both of which I consider way better than the retro anime, the latter is still a valid product anyway.

The versions of the characters, especially Ranma and Akane, proposed here are significantly mischaracterized, which is not necessarily a bad thing, but here, in my opinion, they are mischaracterized for the worse ... very complex and peculiar characters in the manga are ...

If I had a set of fan service anime boobs for every ecchi I had to drop because the writer decided to base it around sexualising 15 yos instead of choosing literally any other age, since this is all fictional after all, I would have a lot of anime boobs.
Even if my moral compass would allow me to goon, I'm just sick of the forever virgin type that has to turn a small no-biggie situation into an uncomfortable mess to the point i skip forward every couple minutes. Is this relatable? I guess most of all I'm just disappointed in the reality that there is ...

Pan de Peace! is a simple little slice of life about a group of girls who bond over bread. It's a simple enough premise, with each episode themed after a certain kind of bread, though for a show with this title I would have liked it to have been more about the bread itself, maybe with recipes at the end of each episode, rather than a somewhat generic anime with the vague theme of bread and baking. Indeed, that's all the story is- It's a short tale about girls who become friends because they all love bread. It could have been worse, but it also ...

Love is Like a Cocktail is a delightful little anime about the sweet romance of a stay-at-home-husband and his borderline alcoholic wife who can only reveal her true self after a good drink. Each episode is filled with cute moments between the two, and also concludes with a recipe for an interesting cocktail. It's a simple premise, but executed quite well, as the main couple really do feel like they've got great chemistry, even if their relationship is a bit unorthodox. Even the scenes outside of the home, and especially the story of how they met, feel both sweet and lifelike. The fact of her ...

I tried to give this slop a chance, couldn't make it past the 4th episode. I didn't even go in with any serious expectations because I knew what I was signing up for: low-budget isekai with harem and ecchi elements. Does it deliver on those fronts? Sure, kind of. But it is not worth sitting through this drivel for any of the 'money shots'. The characters are all beyond just being merely one-dimensional, they're cardboard cutouts that only exist to drool over the weird cat MC.

The cat MC might be my biggest issue with the show, honestly. How is it, in a medium where ...

In the current year, Sonic the Hedgehog is mostly known for a slew of modern-day game titles as well as a trilogy of live-action films. While releases such as the 2017 game "Sonic Mania" have sought to honor the decades-long legacy of the blue blur, they fall short due to emphasizing the content of Sonic rather than its spirit. It is for this reason the 1996 Sonic OVA, created by anime studio Pierrot, is an essential piece of Sonic media. In a brisk 54 minutes, it gives its viewers a crash-course on the essence of Sonic while telling a story barely tied to the game ...

After watching 8 episodes of this anime, I can confidently say: this is the best monster-catching show aimed at teens and adults I’ve seen so far! I’m already looking forward to the next season—and yes, I’d absolutely buy the merch.

If you enjoyed the first seasons of Digimon, Pokémon, or Yo-kai Watch—back when those shows were still emotionally rich and a little more mature—then The All-Devouring Whale is right up your alley.

Why? Because those early seasons often carried deeper themes, character development, and worldbuilding. Sadly, many monster franchises become stale or formulaic over time, often continuing just to push merchandise (though not always). In contrast, The ...

If you think you’re gonna watch an Isekai with food as the main focus you’re gonna be disappointed. If you just wanna watch another Isekai in a fantasy setting, then it not a bad watch.

The MC talks more about cooking than actually doing any cooking, which is kinda funny since I’ve seen a lot of other Isekais where the focus weren’t on food, but they have more food related content that this anime.

The MC uses he knowledge from his past life to help him with fooling adult nobels who underestimate him because of him being a child in their world while regaining his memory as ...

I didn't have any expectations when I started this anime, in fact, I was lying in the hospital bed in distress, thinking that there was no light in my life that would make my eyes shine, just like MC. Okay Im gonna say it Bell should have just given Freya the D, but not the good D. He should have purposefully did a bad job. Then she wouldn't be thirsty anymore and he could move on. 😂 Like "awe yeeeaaah! thirty seconds new record! can i level up now?" or "this is my signature move" and puts in the wrong hole. 😂 But on a serious note I would have 💯 failed that test, especially when they were in the small room and that goes double for when Freya was wearing that white dress. After watching Season 1 I had high hopes for S2 which does not disappoint in the least instead surpass its previous season . Mild Spoilers Ahead - The Action of helping The Middle Sister by the Rei by just staying with her is ironic since something that the girl and her family did for the MC when he was going through that phase of being shunned is heartwarming . Seldom do I come across where the characters' hearts carry the show instead of their "Aura". This show has that heart which makes you want to believe in the Protagonist's journey, his problems , the weight of pressure on his shoulders , His sadness , his happiness . This show may look like a sports anime but it is far from a sports anime . It is more of a journey of the player that plays the sport. TS;DR: reality punch to remind you of reality, an okay slice of life/science fiction anime.

DDDDD is a fictional story that ironically gives a healthy dose of realism to the viewers, mixed with commentary on current topics such as the seemingly nonsensical politics, the effects of media and the internet on the population, and the trust issues and unreliability of information.

Selfishness and constancy are the natural behavior of all living beings.
Everyone only cares about the things that are in their range of influence.
Occurrences outside the capability of the individual will happen.
Morality, free will, guilt, sense of justice and similar concepts are not innate to ...

Do you enjoy stories that romanticize romance between 14- and 24-year-olds?

Violet Evergarden is an episodic period fantasy set somewhere around the late Victorian era in an alternate world, focused on a journey of self-discovery of the title character, a 14-year-old girl bearing the scars of war. Many of the tales told within are touching, heartbreaking. The art direction is gorgeous, and its score remains an all-time favorite of mine. This show looks—and, especially, sounds—stunning.

It's not enough, however, to distract you. From learning that Violet isn't just some victim of war, but a superpowered war machine, the nature of which will be afforded neither explanation nor ...

I watched this anime because of an Instagram reel that showed how sweet Itsuomi is. I loved the animation and the art style. And really just because I love tall, handsome, white-haired men. But watching this, Itsuomi felt too perfect to be true. His personality lacked the kind of depth or flaws that would make him feel truly authentic. I don’t know, this is just probably how I view the world, but it felt like he only displayed his “good” side to Yuki just to show her what she should only see. It left me wondering if we ever really saw the real Itsuomi. The ...

Yes! This anime is the example

Oh, and I think with a little bit of pedophilia thrown in.

I cannot describe how painful it was trying to watch this. Animation is shit, its hard to understand the universe it sets on with how inconsistent and incoherent it is. Season 2 is a LGBTQ+ propaganda season, very bad story telling and not worth the watch sadly.

You can skip the entirety of season 2 and not miss a single beat of the show.

it starts out with character regression of Sakura, then quickly throws Sakura and the entire cast to the wayside so that we can rush headfirst into sexualizing young boys, crossdressing, pole dancing, feminizing, boy-love new main character Tsubaki.

Who is of course LGBTQ+ superman, with every character and story around Tsubaki having a very creepy vibe surrounding it.

It's been on hold for quite some time. So much so, I just started from the beginning. This show has a lot of supporters, some of which think this is a 10/10 and the others, well, they aren't delusional. It certainly has some great qualities but, I believe carries an average on here it doesn't deserve (currently 8.5).

The animation is definitely above average but certainly not a 10/10. It has really good character designs, and the sword based (chainsaw based) characters in combat are animated very well. The devils themselves, particularly in the earlier episodes are quite boring. There are around 6 proper ...

Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs is a fun and lighthearted anime packed with comedy, supernatural elements, and a healthy dose of fan service 😁😁.

The plot revolves around a hot springs inn haunted by the ghost of a sweet, kind-hearted girl named Yuuna — and things only get more chaotic from there. It’s full of charming moments, wild situations, and a lovable cast of characters that keep things entertaining from start to finish.

While it leans heavily into ecchi and harem tropes, the series never takes itself too seriously, which makes it a great time-pass anime. It’s got a good balance of humor, action, and heartwarming ...

As someone who doesn't like romance and I heard a lot of praise that it is one of the best romantic anime specially from my friend, I was very optimistic, but it disappointed me greatly.

Perfect Blue is a film that crawls under your skin and stays there—a masterclass in psychological horror that trades jump scares for something far more insidious. Satoshi Kon's 1997 masterpiece follows Mima Kirigoe's brutal coming-of-age story in reverse: as she sheds her pop idol persona for an acting career, the film peels back layers of identity until nothing feels real. The genius lies in how Kon weaponizes the medium itself—animation's fluid reality becomes terrifying as Mima's grip on sanity dissolves. Scenes where her reflection moves independently or her stalker's camera lens invades private moments aren't just scary; they're violations that make you complicit in her ...

If you’re having trouble deciding whether to watch it, I highly recommend giving it a try. You won’t be disappointed!

There's a gap of one year between Gravion ending and it's sequel, Gravion Zwei, being released: Were it a bit shorter, I would be sure that both seasons were planned from the start, and were it a bit longer, I would be sure that they weren't. One year leans slightly more on the latter, though.
Why is this important? In a world where Gravion flopped and didn't receive a second season, this review would be a lot more negative, it would be a review of an incomplete anime which, while somewhat solid, didn't do much at all, a mass of unfulfilled potential.

A semi-decent standalone movie with ok animation (for its time) and a cohesive story, that's all the good things that come to mind for this movie. It takes season 1 and 2 of the anime and makes a horribly paced mishmash that only serves to spoil the story if you watch it before finishing the series. This has to be this season's best fun slice-of-life, light-hearted anime. The 'historical', 'mystery' tag might lead people to believe that there is some big conspiracy, scary ghost mysteries to solve but no, it's an anime based around school kids that are afraid of rumours and the main character, a charming bold girl along with a stoic sensei solve it together. It's nothing but light-hearted fun and a huge bonus is the mystery solving and mononoke angle of it.

Attack on Titan delivers one of the most original and gripping narratives in anime history. Its premise—humans surviving behind walls while monstrous Titans threaten their existence—is not only unique but endlessly intriguing. The pacing is well-balanced, never feeling too fast or too slow. As someone who hasn’t read the manga, I found the story easy to follow yet full of unexpected twists that kept me on the edge of my seat. This second season arrived improved from the first . All around the board that is.

The fighting animation especially looked really good. If there's a complaint ... alot of the newly introduced characters aren't really used enough . Other then that i can't find anything to complain about . In particulary on the story side. You'd expect these sorta game adaptations to leave you with alot of the mystery just to entice you into playing the actual game, a sort of bait and switch situation. But not in this one.
