Anime Review: Chuuzenji-sensei Mononoke Kougiraku
This anime tells a story about mysteries and Chuuzenji-sensei, who tries to solve those mysteries. However, I personally didn’t enjoy it much for several reasons. Here they are:
1. Mysteries are resolved too quickly
I feel like each mystery in this anime gets resolved way too fast, almost like: 1 episode = 1 case. For example, Episode C ends, and then Episode D starts with an entirely new mystery... it just feels too rushed. I felt the same way in almost every episode.
2. Chuuzenji-sensei feels too overpowered, and Kanna is too dependent
Chuuzenji-sensei is written to be way too overpowered, he solves everything. Meanwhile,

I really enjoyed this movie. First studio Ghibli movie to see in theater and we had a great time. The story to me had a pretty different feeling that the other ghibli movies I have seen but I really liked it personally. I also liked the the time and place it was set in since I am into the history surrounding the setting so it caught my attention a little more. The character development with the boy I felt could relate more to. I think most people who like studio ghbili would get some sort of enjoyment out of the boy and the heron. To

A beautifully understated story about two introverted 15-year-old students falling in love for the first time. It doesn’t try to be grand. It’s intimate. It offers something rare: a grounded, sincere depiction of young romance—awkward, tender, and emotionally resonant. It’s not often a show respects adolescence without romanticising or trivialising it. No melodrama. No fanservice. Just a soft, unshakable truth: sometimes love is just about having the courage to hold hands.
The animation and art direction are exceptional, often feeling movie-tier in quality. Visual storytelling is subtle but powerful, with careful attention to body language and environment. The voice acting is also a standout—especially Akane's voice ...

One of the worst anime that I've ever seen.
The animation constantly swaps from 2d to 3d gci, to the point where sometimes it changes every five seconds or so. The cgi looks identical to Berserk 2016 animation, horrible. The 2d animation isn't even that good either, its okay the first episode or two, but you can really see the lack of detail and movement once the MC gets to the first town.
Most of the characters that you meet are all villains, most of which are over the top comically evil. The dialogue in this show is already bad, but when the villains start monologuing ...

This is a cooking and eating anime that is very recommended in my opinion, the MC who was already a cooking expert from the beginning, the deep background of the MC and it turned out not just anyone, the historical background and stories of each character that are interconnected, and of course packed into a very funny cooking comedy situation. My score is 8, actually I want to give a score of 9, but the ending I was not satisfied because the story was hanging, especially about the end of the romance between Yukihira and Erina, I know in the manga / from the author

I picked up this anime back then when it was still airing. I was intrigued by it’s unique concept and experimental animation style. It was new to me, back then I always watch the flashy and action packed anime's and shows like this was not really my thing. But I thought how about a change of scene? try something new, so I decided to watch it and give it a try. These kinds of original anime are either hit or miss; either they become the next great thing, and other times they are forgotten entirely. I was hoping for the latter. However just a couple

"Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid" is a strange show to talk about. The character designs of the dragons and the art of the setting are very well done, but the story and personalities of the characters are a bit lackluster.
Usually in shows where there are other-worldly things occurring, there needs to be a type of grounded "straight man" character that reacts outwardly at the absolute absurdity of what is happening. In this show, this character does not exist. Even when the absolute unexplainable happens, every human witnessing the act just accepts it and moves on. The show literally starts with the main ...

This was decent, with some caveats. I was smirking at a lot of the jokes, which is more than I do for almost any other anime comedy. However, it was let down quite a bit by the goddess Ristarte overreacting. A joke subverting the typical isekai tropes would be made and would be completely obvious, but then the dumb blonde chick (she’s really just a near-clone of Aqua from Konosuba) would freak out and say "OMG WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO BE FOLLOWING THE <TROPE>!!!" This was essentially the show explaining the joke which was just totally unnecessary and made all

One of the first Japanese BL I have watched but ….
Is a simple quick short anime to binged and they do have some wholesome moments but if you want like a good story plot , this anime doesn’t deliver much as it has a few plot holes and no connection in the storyline , and often a lot of huge jumps here and there.
The babies are cute and certain interactions between the main couple are cute too, but it could be expanded. The anime in general could expand a bit more on certain aspects and concepts in the storyline.

86 is a standout sci-fi series that blends tactical warfare, emotional depth, and strong character writing. While the first few episodes take time to establish the world, the payoff is absolutely worth it. The series doesn’t just show war—it feels it, and it makes you feel it too.
The animation is consistently high-quality, with well-choreographed battle sequences that balance realism with intensity. The soundtrack, composed by Hiroyuki Sawano and Kohta Yamamoto, elevates every key moment—melancholic when it needs to be, explosive when it counts.

At best, it's mediocre. The potential was evident, but the execution felt half-baked, as if it were made simply for the sake of it without any genuine effort. The animation sometimes feels awkward, remaining merely average. As for the soundtrack, including both the opening and ending themes, they are acceptable but not particularly memorable—although musical tastes vary.
The characters seem standard and somewhat forgettable. I originally watched it because it is a chill anime, yet it becomes boring due to its lackluster execution. From the starting point to the end (meaning up to ep 10 so far), you will get a sense that things do make sense at the very beginning, that there is some kind of flow to the events happening, but it just gets worse. The randomness in the MC meeting new characters one by one, the anime tries to brush through each of the new characters and only focus on the routes (aka main girls). This style of anime is definitely not for everybody, not only because of the void you get in the randomness, but also difficulty in following through the plot in terms

When Anime Fails to Uplift
I came to To Your Eternity expecting meaning. Anime has always served as a place of emotional refuge—a place where characters fight through pain to protect what matters, where suffering gives way to hope. This series, though, left me with something else entirely: a sense of purposeless grief.
The first few episodes were powerful. Fushi’s silent growth, March’s innocence all promised a deep, emotional journey. But as the series progressed, I began to feel that each emotional connection was created only to be torn apart—repeatedly, relentlessly.
It stops feeling like storytelling and starts feeling like punishment.

Tried giving this anime a shot, the pacing is horrible, the animation and premise seemed alright, the premise is what drew me in. After 5 episodes I feel like things just keep happening, no explanation, and the few times the show could've had a very enjoyable plot it was scrapped by just saying "he is too cool" and the companions are too overpowered. In the wise words of VideoGameDunkey "He so cool" sarcastically.
The animation is its only good quality. I especially liked the scene of him regrowing someones arm (in the trailer so not a spoiler) but its only cool for the first five seconds, ...

For what it's worth, I enjoyed it. I definitely think it there are areas which were lacking, for instance the intrigue was not what I hoped for a show about political intrigue. The world and characters were interesting which were really what drew me in. It inspired me to read the manga as well, but I didn't find it nearly as grabbing. I definitely think it's worth a watch if your time isn't at a premium.

Code White film is a filler film for Spy x Family. As has to be the case for filler films, this doesn’t actually advance the plot or character arcs in any meaningful way. However, it’s still a pretty fun time and that’s what matters. The basic premise is that the Forger’s go on a trip but Anya ends up doing something that gets her targeted by the military and thus Loid and Yor have to save her from an airship.

So I first watched parasyte when I was a young teen, after 10 years I decided it was worth a shoot to rewatch it, needlesly to say that I wasnt disapointed.
The main theme without a doubt is the circle of life, more so focused on canivores, forms of lifes that consume other forms of life to survive, parasyte has a double meaning because parasites in a broad sense is nothing more than a form of life getting its substance from another, which after seeing the show, makes you think if there is any difference between that definition of parasite vs carnivores, we both disregard any ...

I was one of the haters of season 1, although I had a bit of change of heart on re-watch. Even I was glued to my screen during this show though. The issues I had with the plot in season 1 were mostly at the setup. Everything is setup now, and it's time to have fun.
The main character starts out very overpowered this time, and only gets stronger. Every plot point is just an excuse to make the main character look cool and impress people. That's not a bad thing though, since he pulls it off. The animation is great, and even a lot of ...

A hidden gem that arguably surpasses the main series in several key areas. While MHA is all high-stakes battles and world-shaking events, Vigilantes thrives in the alleys and shadows, offering a more grounded, human story. Its worldbuilding is subtly stronger, fleshing out the quirks of everyday hero society and showing how the system works (and breaks) for those outside the spotlight. Even touching very briefly on how quirk society in other countries differ from Japan.

This was a nice experience. This animation style is unique and really gives it a cinematic feel. The characters felt believable, and endearing. Overall, the went in the direction I thought it would, but it still added some twists that I didn't expect. I'm not trying to write a full summary of the less than an hour long movie.
I suppose I would have enjoyed it more if it felt like it had more of a message, or had a more fleshed out plot. It feels more like an art piece than a movie with a story. It's an enjoyable art piece though. there was no ...

Absolutely overrated.
Before I get into women-centric views, let me address the glaring inconsistencies and poor writing decisions.
First. The first half and the second half are completely different shows. Sure they have the same vibe and art and cartoon logic and setting but too many characters take shit turns in their direction for the sake of melodrama. There's a guy who was more or less the same as Simon in terms of mental state but somehow after a seven year time skip became a brooding pragmatist even though he experienced the exact same things as the rest of the team and the exact same talk no ...

This show is pretty funny, and pretty unique too. Lots of different elements I did not expect. Definitely has been a fun watch so far!
For how funny and lighthearted it is overall, I was surprised at how serious / dark it got sometimes. Definitely an interesting mix of genres and themes in this one. They also did a good a job of making all the themes and genres work well together, keeping it fun, fresh and interesting , without ever making it feel over complicated. Anohana is an amazing show and emotional rollercoaster, and while I wholeheartedly recommend watching it, I do have my issues with it.
I think that a lot of the emotional scenes towards the middle of the show fail to hit by the nature of the tone that they were trying to go for. It's supposed to be a meloncholy yet lighthearted show, but I think it's the lighthearted bits that bring it down. A character will be going through a full meltdown, their entire world shaken, then another character will hop in and make the whole situation better with a single sentence. It doesn't happen ...

A Bridge to the Starry Skies is nothing special.
Its a very basic harem. Its not bad by any means. It just doesn't do anything amazing.
The characters are likeable enough. But you wont remember them when you're done watching.
Heck the best character is actually the MC's little brother who sounds and acts like a girl. Their interactions are better than his interactions with the girls.
Plotwise nothing happens. Its just what you'd expect from a school harem romance slice of life.
It has a bit of ecchi in it. Although nudity is censored.
It has its cute and funny moments though.

Indie productions aren’t especially common in the anime industry (off the top of my head I can’t name any in fact), and while I imagine it wouldn’t be the most difficult thing in the world for a solo creator to produce a moderately decent slice of life comedy short Atsuya Uki was ambitious in choosing to make Cencoroll a nearly half hour long sci-fi action flick. By all means this is more of a display of technical prowess rather than anything you would watch for a satisfying story. The characters rarely speak — aside from Yuki who I suspect is because they somehow managed to

Dororo is a black and white anime produced right around when color television was being proliferated. But the choice to stay black and white was the right call, as it makes the ancient Japan setting and demonic vibes more immersive. More importantly, it adds to the series' foreboding atmosphere...at least in the first half.
You see, this show can actually be divided pretty solidly into two halves. The first half of the show, simply titled "Dororo", is really more about Hyakkimaru, the sword-swinging youth slaying demons to regain his body. The titular Dororo is a bratty kid that tags along with him. Dororo can be rather ...

How to summarize it... Well if there is one show where I just let go of my brain, root for characters, get so emotional and have fun it is this one. And I have no idea what it is about it that makes it so.
But since beginningI just feel connected, cozy and can't wait for next episode and season and always get excited for it. Even though it is not some over the top writing or whatever. I simply don't care.
It is not something that I can say for any other anime lately(mostly they get meh and repeatative after a season).

Possibly the most important anime I have watched to date. The more episodes I finished, the more I had a sinking realization that I could relate heavily to the self-defeating, self-victimizing, delusions-of-grandeur lifestyle the protagonist had in common with myself. The author of the manga this is based off of has said it was inspired by his hikikomori lifestyle, at the time of working on the manga itself, and that really becomes apparent in how realistic and probable these situations throughout the anime are. How relatable is the despair of "recognizing what I'm doing is wrong, and unhealthy for me both physically and mentally, but

I need to start being more harsh with my ratings of anime...
This anime has an interesting idea at the core of the story that it seeks to tell... a person reincarnated into a world with no magic, so he must discover or invent magic himself... and from that point on, every single other aspect of the anime is not good. The character design is bland; there are no characters that stand out in any meaningful way. The dialogue is clunky (Engdub watcher). The animation is bad. The direction is bad. A goddam masterpiece. That's what it is. Lycoris Recoil isn't just cute anime girls using guns. It's a deep political action thriller and I love it for that. It isn't afraid to go dark, to the very depths of ethics and humanity to look itself in the mirror and ask the hard questions. There's no such thing as peace without evil, and a balance is always required. Peace without Evil is just Delusion.

Wasteful Days of High School Girls had its funny moments and a few genuinely good episodes, but overall, it felt more like a “girl version” of The Daily Life of High School Boys — just not quite as strong in comparison 👍.
The characters each had quirky traits that made for some entertaining scenes, and the humor was light and random. If you're into absurd comedy and slice-of-life antics, there’s definitely something here to enjoy. But the jokes can be hit or miss, and it doesn’t always keep the same energy throughout.

A Gentle Show, Beautifully Made — But Greatness Requires More Than Grace
There’s no doubt that Frieren is a lovingly crafted series. Its quietness is refreshing, its animation polished, and its central theme — the passage of time and the weight of memory — is handled with care. It’s serene, introspective, and even moving at times. But once the stillness settles and the dust clears, one question remains: does it truly deserve to be considered the greatest anime of all time?
At the time of writing, Frieren sits at the very top of MyAnimeList — ahead of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Steins;Gate, Hunter x Hunter, Clannad: After Story, ...

My issue with this show boils down to really one thing. It doesn't really have the same emotional impact to me that the mainline series has. In fact, it feels kind of uninspired sometimes. The characters other than Knuckleduster don't really resonate with me. Hell, Koichi just feels like a less expressive Deku. It feels like a re-hash of the series but in a way that tries to go for a darker tone but ends up losing what made the original special in the first place. That outpouring of genuine emotion from the cast, the moments that feel inspirational from both All Might and Deku.

The whole movie maintained my attention till the climax, then I cried, went to wash out my tears and continued. Again, I started crying, went to wash my tears and continued. I did this 3 times till the end of the movie, and still I was shocked, thinking this in reality happened with innocent children in Japan and anywhere the war took place.

A solid 6.5/10
The anime has a really slow start to the point where I had to take breaks every few minutes into each episode. It gets better from around the 5th episode where the plot slowly starts progressing.
I started truly enjoying it 9/10 episodes in😭 yes it took me a lot to come so far in the series but now I’m waiting for the rest of the weekly episodes.
I would recommend watching this only if you are up to date and watching episodes weekly, def not recommending binge watching! It’s a good show if you have nothing else on your watch list.

Let's get this out of the way first: switching between multiple art styles is not terribly impressive. Mary Poppins merged live action with cartoons back in 1964, and the blending of various animation styles is nearly as old as animation itself. Similarly, satire of the classic superhero genre is also nothing quite new, and there are a plethora of stories that unravel our understandings of heroic characters. So, if To Be Hero X is not doing anything NEW, then it must certainly be doing something WELL, right?

Note: This review was made before I watched the sequel "Ave Mujica". Some criticisms may be refuted in the sequel, but I am reviewing this as a standalone work. If you are wondering, I personally recommend this anime, but beware if you hate melodrama (you will punch your screen).
Spoilers ahead.
There are a ton of anime focusing on girl groups and music (ranging from idols to bands to DJs to superpowers). MYGO is another one of these anime, and it excels in creating extremely realistic (and irritating) school drama. This can be compared to a work such as White Album 2, where the purpose of the ...

the story is slow burn, i don't know what to expect lol..i thought it would be enemy to love trope, but NO. it goes in totally different direction, even if you notice the romantic nuance it was so subtle and wrap really well to blend in the high school theme.
the female mc however..i don't get what the author is trying to depicted from her. beside she is too nice and forgiving, she so neutral that i bet she would forgive everyone with worst sin than male mc. she is so unconsistent and kind despite the situation, no emotion at all, so unhuman at least for ...

MiniPato appears unassuming, perhaps the SD Gundam concept applied to Patlabor? Some silly jokes with chibi characters? However, seeing Oshii had written the episodes made me reconsider, and I was right to, but MiniPato truly goes the extra mile for supposedly ancillary shorts.
Episode one is narrated by Gotou and has him on a rant like treatise on Labors and their weapons. Gotou has a sarcastic wit while being insightful and has an Oshii gag style in the visuals and with slapstick. Episode two continues this but ups the ante by featuring Shige, whose actor Shigeru Chiba is iconic in Oshii’s work for his ability to ...

This is a good anime to see in times of brain death. It easy, simple and feel good. The animation is week but the drawings are nice. It reminds me of "The Ossan Newbie Adventurer" in the fact than the MC is pathetically oblivious to his strength which makes it frustrating to watch when your mind is alert and sharp. On the other hand, on the other hand, watching this when your mind is foggy, this anime does the job. The absurdness of in acts as kind of a relaxing comedy relief.

7.25/10 ~ Amazing conclusion... but thats about it
Odd taxi was a bit of an odd show (pun intended), poorly animated which I think was a stylistic choice tbh, sound track was barely there, good English VA which is just standard in 2021, The choice of animals at first just seemed very odd, all the character relations and plot was glued together with convince. Honestly the first 4 or so episodes were pretty fucking boring and I turned if off, but I had several recommendations to stick through it because it had a glorious end. As I stuck through it, every 3-4 episodes gradually got better ...

I have been reading the manga for a few years and finally finished the anime.
Without mentioning the manga, the show itself is okay as it did a decent job for an adaption attempt.
The MC being the typical "lacking common sense" guy who is good willed to care about everything besides himself is within expectations?
He is unreasonably OP but at least in this show, there are decent attempts at justifying why/what happens.
Though the drawback is there are several moments we just have to "accept" this moment just because it's meant to be normal?
Story wise it's okay but after watching several episodes, you'll eventually feel like it ...

It's a shame when I heard that an anime was going to be made of this great franchise I thought that they were going to start building an animated adaptation that would tell the canonical story from the first game making many people who don't know the games interested in the franchise making them go for the available games increasing the fandom and the creation of new games but the only thing that was achieved was a failed project that only attracted a part of the public of experienced players or only those who played the last game since this project is based as its
