Preliminary (11/12 eps)
You know... It started off great. Then it keeps getting worse. People being manipulated, people playing with Yu's feelings (literally)... It's horrible. The only reason I watched up to episode 11 is because I don't like leaving shows unfinished.
If one wants to watch people being gaslit, learn what a decade-long situationship looks like, or are a psycho/sociopath, this show is perfect!!! 😊
Normally, art in any form is not limited to happy feelings. But this is a review. While some people might disagree, I personally don't like emotionally torturing myself... Especially not under the guise of "love" or "friendship". If the writers did this intentionally: Props ...

A big disappointment to a great webcomic, where they butcher the whole thing by their terrible animation.

In The Beginning After the End, do we follow Arthur who is king Grey reborn into another world. We start from the day he is reborn and follow him and the people around him as he grows up. It is classic fantasy isekai, but is told with greater detail since we truly follow him as he grows up.

This show is extremely affected by the show's quality of adaptation, where it can mostly be seen by the animation quality. The animation in itself is horrible, it is done with very ...

As an anime only viewer, I can empathize with those who loved the manhwa and felt this was a poor adaptation. Still, I don't understand how this show is hated on so much.

As an anime, the story is great, the fights are fun, and I am enjoying watching it. Why do we compare everything to the greatest animated pieces and say if its not produced like them then it's junk? I figure the only reason this anime is rated so low is because people expect solo leveling animation nowadays from their favorite manhwas. That isn't to say I wished stories like these get the ...

8/10- This is what I wanted from Remake Our Life. This is so much better.

The story about basically redoing your life has been done dozens of times, but this one was special.

Its a premise you may have seen in a few romcoms, but ReLife does it in a such a refreshing way that I couldn't help but binge this show. There is not a single episode that feels like it was added to hit runtime requirements. The show may also be more relatable to an older audience.

The main theme of ReLife is personal growth, and all of it feels very real. Characters are so ...

The Beginning After the End was one of the most highly anticipated light novel adaptations to come out from outside Japan. Written by Brandon Lee, known by his alias as TurtleMe, this story takes a more careful and genuine approach to Isekai—a genre not typically praised for its strong writing or compelling characters. Boasting one of fantasy’s richest worldbuilding, a meticulously detailed magic system, compelling character-writing, and immersive storytelling, any adaptation—be it manhwa or anime—had some pretty big shoes to fill. After a long wait, the ten-year light novel finally received the anime adaptation the fans have long been waiting for, yet they were not ...

Sometimes being perfect, results in you being hated by the people around you and being tossed aside for being too-perfect.

This anime focuses on the two sisters, Philia and Mia, who are separated after Philia’s fiance sells her off to their neighboring country. We then get to see how Philia’s life starts evolving by not being surrounded with people jealous of her abilities, and Mia left behind in a country who would sell their own saint just because she was too-perfect.

For the plot of the show it is very much split between the two sisters, where we see them each facing their own reality. Each sister ...

Skeleton Knight in Another World turned out to be a surprisingly fun and enjoyable isekai anime. While the story moves at a slightly slower pace, the world-building and steady character development kept me engaged throughout. It has a nice mix of action, fantasy, and humor, making it a solid watch for fans of the genre.

The main character, Arc, stands out quite literally—he’s a powerful warrior trapped in the form of a skeleton from his in-game avatar. His design is absolutely fire and really cool to see in action. His calm and kind personality contrasts nicely with his intimidating appearance, adding a refreshing touch to the ...

The Beginning After the End is a series which has been steeped in controversy since the first previews for it were released. A lot of this discourse stems from either the adaptation being a disappointment relative to its source material or comparisons to fellow fantasy web novel epic Mushoku Tensei, which often make it feel like the anime is rarely being judged on its own merits, just on how it fails to measure up to prebuilt hype and fan expectations.

But the thing is, none of that really matters. It doesn’t matter how TBATE compares to its source material or to any other shows, not only ...

General:
Saizou, a ronin, encounters a priestess named Isanami who was being tried to be killed by assassins one day by chance and saves her. Isanami is the only survivor of the raid on the temple where she is a priestess and asks Saizou to take her to Lord Yukimura. Yukimura has another plan. He wants to form a ninja and samurai team of 10 people with superior qualities, which he calls the 10 braves, and Isanami and Saizou become members of this team.

The story of most of the series takes place with the formation of this team and in the meantime, we watch a lot ...

General:
A child chased by bad guys crosses paths with a swordsman during his journey. This swordsman has given up sword fighting due to an incident in his past. However, he becomes very attached to the child and takes him under his protection. This is how the events develop. In short, we can say that this is the subject of the anime.

Although it contains a fantastic element, it is not very effective in the story other than its contribution to the starting point of the story.

The little boy, his dog and our cute swordsman may seem charismatic to many people who watch the anime. The characters ...

A good show with an interesting power system. I'd be tempted to call this another big dumb shonen, except it's not actually dumb. Characters use their poers in unique ways to overcome obstacles and outsmart opponents. This is more of a big silly shonen. While solutions may be smart, they are also absurdly silly. Which is fun and leaves you wanting to see the outrageous and unbelievable thing that will happen.

My biggest gripe is an issue that pagues a lot of shonen action shows (although newer shows have been better about not doing this than older shows, likely thanks to the rise of streaming); almost ...

What an anime Zenshu turned out to be. In a season full of flashy titles and overhyped sequels, this anime quietly entered the scene and ended up leaving a deep impression on me. I went in with almost no expectations, just another new anime, I thought. But what I found was something beautiful, emotional, and, honestly, unforgettable. Zenshu has now earned a place among the best new anime I’ve seen recently.

A Slow Start With a Powerful Payoff
Let’s be honest: the first few episodes of Zenshu might not grab everyone instantly. The pacing is slow, and it takes its time establishing the world, the characters, and ...

Definite AOTS, maybe even AOTY for me. Thought this would be just one of those underrated anime at the beginning but it turned out to be much, much more.

Each character is unique and likable in his/her own way, with a little charming backstory. Every episode has funny moments as well as heartwarming ones that make you either laugh out loud or tear up, especially the last 2 episodes. The Motorsuns stadium does not exist just to play/watch baseball games. It's a close-knit community where the players, the staff and the fans all come together from their various walks of life and connect to one another ...

In short, it was okay—not great, not terrible—just somewhere in the middle. The story itself was quite interesting, but I came into this expecting romance, and unfortunately, that just wasn't the focus. Because of that, the experience felt a bit bland to me, though I can see how others might enjoy it more.

The music was serviceable but forgettable—not something I'd revisit. The animation and action scenes were decent and visually inoffensive, nothing groundbreaking but nothing jarring either. What really got to me was the constant tension caused by the worldbuilding; the rules of the universe posed a lot of potential danger for the main character, ...

I honestly don’t even know what I watched. I can’t remember anything from the story—just the feeling of my IQ steadily dropping the longer I kept watching.

I’d rather rewatch Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomo ni. than sit through this again.

I don’t know who thought the “clueless, low-IQ protagonist who doesn’t understand their own strengths” trope was a good idea, but this takes it way too far.

I guess the writers don’t know how to craft real comedy anymore, so we’re stuck with bland, tasteless shows like this. I’d rather rewatch an anime I rated 5/10 than waste more time on this.

To be fair, the animation is ...

Sakamoto Days is one of those rare manga that blends action, humor, and heart in a way that feels fresh yet comfortably familiar. As a manga reader, I had high expectations when the anime adaptation was announced. And while it doesn’t knock everything out of the park, Season 1 of Sakamoto Days delivers a very good adaptation that lays a strong foundation for what’s to come.

Having read the manga, I can confidently say that this is just the beginning. The truly insane arcs are yet to come and when they do, this series has the potential to break the internet.

The anime is nice. But I had to drop it because it was like giving a tone of repeating lore/cliches, yk. I watched like around 50 diff anime that time so like I am really into anime that has deep depth to it, though I really, really thought how cool they portray the character's powers and personas overall, like Natsu. But while I was watching, I tried to not care of how the anime kept 'repeating' so I gave it a chance since so many people especially my friend were recommending me to watch it. Little did I know I was not watching the og, ...

A witch might die a thousand deaths, but a heroine dies but one.

This was the season of the witch, and I mainly gave this a try because I liked some of the artwork. The character designs were a bit cliche but kinda cute, too. There's nice background work applied. The animation is kind of a mixed bag. There's some decent sections, to be sure, but there's some obviously sketchy scenes tossed in as well. It came across to me as there weren't enough resources put into this, as would have been needed to make the animation top notch.

The characters are widely varied as well. ...

The Too-Perfect Saint: Tossed Aside by My Fiancé and Sold to Another Kingdom - Is there a price for perfection? If so, how much of it is sacrificial?

"You can tell more about a person by what people say about you than by what others say about him." This quote about human integrity rings ever so true, given how we're so sucker-punched into stories of blatant negligence that can lead to either results of life's redemption or long-term karma, because let's be honest, as "intelligent" as we humans can try to read one another like pseudo-psychics, there's no one predictable way of ever knowing how the ...

Kanpekiseijo was one of my favourite shows of the season. I’m a sucker for emotionally repressed and abused characters developing emotions and realizing they deserve to be loved. It’s kind of a cheap way to illicit an emotional response, but hey it works for me. I went through a gambit of emotions watching this from anger at seeing someone as kind and thoughtful as Philia being abused for the simple crime of existing, despite all her contributions to the kingdom she’s only seen as fodder, to straight up crying with some of the big set pieces. While not a shojosei technically because it’s a LN, ...

This anime tries to deliver on action, comedy, and gourmet themes—though with varying levels of success. There are funny moments, a bit of fanservice, and some surprisingly decent fights. I honestly expected them to be worse, so that was a nice surprise, even if they’re not amazing. The gourmet aspect is there in concept, but I wish it leaned more into it like Food Wars does.

The art style is nothing special by today’s standards, but for a 2011 release, it's serviceable. While the show has its moments and a fun premise, I just couldn’t push myself to finish it.

Overall, if you're after something quirky, with ...

Ok so I dropped it at ep 11, when I can just finish and wait for ep 12.
Why? Cuz I can predict what happens next like literally, I was skimming through the entire anime and it literally is 1:1 copies of other long ass title I got shafted by my former party troupe. It's funny these authors/mangaka just literally prob copy the format of other authors work and tweak it a little, like, "You can copy my homework but don't make it obvious".

I don't mind copies, as long as it improves what it copied, but so far, it's inferior and worse than any other ...

With a generous marketing wheel and promotional effort, you'd at least expect a franchise like Beginning After The End to inspire some hope into a market dominated by isekai in today's industry. But no matter how much marketing or word of mouth spreads, Beginning After The End further proves that even popular franchises can fall short to mediocrity. This here, is another abject failure that proves popularity doesn't equate quality.

From the moment Studio A-Cat was announced as the studio, high hopes were tossed out the door. Their resume of anime projects in recent years haven't exactly set the bar high. Still, I was slightly optimistic ...

The Beginning After the End — more like The Beginning OF the End, and the countless memes this has spawned into a massive shitshow since its debut.

"My disappointment is immeasurable, and my day is ruined." Of all the things to say about a potential in the making, TheReportOfTheWeek's meme still stands as one quote that never faded away from obscurity, largely because the world has gone to such an extent of "always over-promising and under-delivering" everything that's great and tearing it down like nobody's business, contributing to a well of hatred. And that show happens to be a work that's very beloved and not made ...

It's 2025 and here I am sitting and wondering when when we'll get to see a show about clothes removing as part of its plot. I don't mean it just as part of a story gimmick like High School DxD but an actual plot device to jump start the story. Well, Please Put Them On, Takamine-san is just the answer.

Please Put Them On, Takamine-san is a peculiar case for an ecchi rom-com. It's known for being self aware of both its plot and main female protagonist. Title character Takane Takamine is protrayed as the flawless queen bee, an alluring beauty that catches the eye of ...

Please Put Them On, Takamine-san — If BDSM was ever a genre, this show would fit perfectly by any stretch of the measure.

Look, I think that we could afford at least a moment or two exposing the degeneracy within us to hit some nut, furnish some sea cucumber juice, or by whatever means, extract the sauce within us so sticky and digestible, so palpable that jerking off seems like the kind of habit that we as anime weebs like to frown upon ourselves to show that we embrace being degenerates for better or for worse. However, like all things in life, where there's the good ...

Do not watch this. This is not Soul Eater. This is not good. The characters lack personality and feel like cardboard cutouts rather than real people. The plot moves far too quickly, skipping over world-building and character development in favor of flashy battles and forced drama. Relationships between characters are pushed by the script rather than earned—nothing feels natural or believable.

The animation is... good, I guess? At least visually, it has some cool moments. The art style is stylish and does resemble Soul Eater, but that's about where the similarity ends.

The story is generic shounen fare with an edgy coat of paint. It's not unique, ...

As someone who typically waits for an anime to complete before watching, especially if it has low ratings, I decided to give The Beginning After the End a try. Initially, I was prepared to drop it, but to my surprise, the story captivated me and kept me hooked.

However, the anime's animation quality has been a point of contention. Many fans have criticized it for resembling a "PowerPoint presentation," with choppy movements and lacking visuals. This sentiment is echoed across various platforms, where viewers express disappointment over the lack of fluid animation and detailed artwork.

Despite these visual shortcomings, the emotional depth and character development shine through. ...

I know that Guilty Gear isn't exactly known for its amazing story. But this might be one of the dumbest stories in any show I've seen in a while. The plot is horrible, it develops at a distractingly fast pace in the second half and its centered around a relationship that has no time to build itself up. And if you expect any of the characters you like from the game to matter, well though luck, because they are all glorified cameos And the villain is just awful, its like if you grab every terrible villain in fiction and smush it together into one terrible, ...

People who watch the "Ghost Stories Dub Funny Moments" compilations on YouTube probably think this show is a laugh a minute.

It is not. There's a reason people are only able to quote the same five jokes. That's literally all there is to it.

Each 20 minute episode maybe has two funny jokes, TOPS.

I don't get offended easily, especially given that this was made in the early 2000s but dear lord, these jokes just don't fly at all, even by edgelord standards.

There's also the social context of Americans severely bastardizing the works of Japanese creators but that's a topic for another day. As someone who lives in ...

Violet Evergarden is a breathtaking anime that reaches far beyond its stunning visuals. At its core, it’s a deeply emotional journey of healing, self-discovery, and the human need for connection. The story follows Violet, a former soldier turned Auto Memory Doll, as she seeks to understand the meaning behind the words “I love you”—the final message left to her by someone precious.

It is very fucking weird that a lot of kids born in the early 2000s watched this sometime between 2013-2016, not realizing that Danganronpa is originally a visual novel and not an anime.

Do yourself a favor and play the fucking VN. Don't waste your time with this shit.

I can't play most games and VNs due to owning a Mac but I must say that the first two DR games are one of the few that I can.

The latest adaptation of the beloved manga has left many fans disappointed, primarily due to its subpar animation and significant deviations from the source material. While the original manga captivated readers with its intricate storytelling and dark themes, the anime struggles to capture the same essence.

One major issue is the animation quality itself. The visuals lack the necessary detail and fluidity, creating a disconnect between the viewer and the narrative. Additionally, the use of CGI feels clunky and unrealistic, detracting from key moments that should evoke a strong emotional response.

Furthermore, the anime makes several critical omissions that undermine character development and plot cohesion. A poignant ...

This is a masterpiece. I may not be a major Dragon Ball fan but I can guarantee you this one is gonna be worth your time.
The action is well designed and animated. If you're more interested in fights then yeah this ones for you.
The storytelling does the job really well. The cast isn't bad if you don't care much.
The art style does a nice job and the choreography is peak.

Koyomimonogatari is the weirdest entry thus far for Monogatari.

Each episode goes forward in time by about 1 arc, so you start the season with Bake, and end off in the current timeline, with each episode only running 10 mins

The first half is snooze-fest short stories that are incredibly forgettable; pretty much filler bits of knowledge that can add depth to the already told stories. Most of these filler bits are incredibly inconsequential, unremarkable and boring, so much so that it takes effort to remember what happened in this half despite watching it 1 day ago.

However once you catch up to the main story and season ...

This movie isn't perfect but it's still incredible. The music, animation, and character development definitely lived up to the expectations set by the first 2 seasons and summer specials. The main issue with this movie is how it condenses so much of the story into only 2 hours. If you haven't read/don't plan on reading the manga before watching this movie, know that an extremely valuable and worthwhile character arc (which ends up having a lot of plot significance) didn't make the cut for the adaptation. Still, the movie offers an emotional and unforgettable conclusion to the story. By the end of the movie, you'll ...

Boy, oh boy. What do we have here? A gem in the hard stone?
Seriously, though, I didn't expect this anime to be soooo good. It really felt like a SOL genre, like one of those old shows where there isn't any major plotline, and it's just a show about the life of the MC interacting with people around him/her. Disappointing.

It starts fine, but becomes extremely boring by the end.
The show shifted towards a more plot-oriented story rather than a comedy parody.
Felt like I was watching another trash magic isekai's final boss battle.
Overwhelming strength, multi-episode fights, long ability explanations with back-and-forth counters, summoning of excessive or gigantic monsters, sappy flashbacks of friendships giving the good guys the power to push forward. blah blah blah.
The comedy runs dry with the same jokes repeated over and over. It was great in the first season, but became excessive this season. You already know the drill: A new foe appears that is considered top-tier, they duke it out, the ...

On the first glance this looks like standard sports anime show, but the more you look into it you realize that it is less about the sport and more about the people around it.

Animation and music: nothing special on this front. Animation is subpar but for this anime it is working quite well as there are not real action sequences. Music is unfortunately very forgettable. Overall industry standard these days, I will give praise in not doing copy-paste thing with the crowds that many anime know to do these days.

Alright, I'm just going to get these thoughts out of head before it all ends next Tuesday. Gundam G-quacks (how it sounds) is a very mixed bag overall.

First off, if you are NOT familiar at all with main timeline "Universal Century" Gundam, do NOT start with this one; you will be utterly confused, even if this is technically supposed to be a alternate timeline universe; this is definitely a gundam series meant for hardcore gundam fans.

It's going, going. gone!! A Home Run!!

I must admit I wasn't expecting much from this series, I was deathly afraid it was going to be a typical tropey anime sports title. I was so pleasantly surprised when this turned out to be more a Slice of Life situational comedy in a ballpark. I've spent more than my share of time hanging around major and minor league stadiums all over the US, and I'll testify the producers nailed the vibe perfectly.

This is not a high budget project. The art is kind of mid, although the character designs are decent enough. Some of the background work ...

Every anime season, I set aside a few shows to binge once they're complete—sometimes I hit gold, sometimes I end up dropping a dud. But this time? Ballpark de Tsukamaete! turned out to be a grand slam.

This anime flew under the radar among the many titles released in Spring 2025, but it ended up being one of the most refreshing and underrated series of the season. Brave Witches deserved better
So a little context and background history, I first watched this when it was released in 2016, and the studio deserved all the criticism that was thrown their way. They didn't have enough money, enough time, or enough staff working on it.
They were riding high off the success from Strike Witches, and wanted a spin-off, but then decided that they wouldn't put in the same kind of resources towards making that series. For the studio this was a cash-grab.

But for the team behind it, this was a labour of love, and they did the best with what they had, but it was ...
