Review of Frieren: Beyond Journey's End

Frieren isn’t just about the bonds between people — it’s about connections in a broader sense. The kind that bloom in silence, in small gestures, in time quietly shared. It could have fallen into common clichés, but it didn’t. Out of all the anime I’ve watched in the past ten years, Frieren easily stands out as my favorite. Yes, the story is that unique. There’s a quiet brilliance to how it unfolds — it’s not flashy or trying too hard to impress, but it still manages to leave a lasting impression. I honestly don’t think we’ll see another story quite like this for a long time.
The characters are incredibly well-rounded. Each of them — from the reserved mage to the warrior and the priest — brings something different to the table, and none of them feel one-dimensional. They’re not overpowered or overly quirky just for the sake of it. Instead, they feel real. Their flaws, strengths, and the way they respond to events all feel grounded in something human. Watching them interact, grow, and carry their pasts in different ways adds depth to every episode.
The art style also fits the story perfectly. It’s soft, subtle, and full of quiet detail — just like the narrative itself. Everything from the landscapes to the character expressions helps reinforce that gentle, reflective tone the anime carries throughout.
Even if this kind of story isn't usually someone's thing, I still think Frieren has something to offer. It’s not about big action sequences or loud emotional payoffs. It’s about time, memory, and the quiet weight of the journey — and that’s a rare kind of storytelling that can resonate deeply with anyone.

At first, I thought the anime would focus entirely on Frieren outliving everyone she meets, constantly leaving her with an emotional void. And maybe that will still happen as the manga continues. Some people might even wish for a prequel showing the heroes defeating the Demon King — and I’d love to see that too.
But I think the emotional, slightly bittersweet beauty of this anime lies in the fact that we can’t recover lost time. Once it's gone, it’s gone. That’s what makes Frieren so special. As much as I’d enjoy a prequel like that, I think it would take away from the message this anime conveys so well: teaching us to value your time, because too many of us live as if we had a thousand lives or years to live.

An anime about a beast tamer that gets kicked out of the hero's party for apparently being useless from the hero's party perspective, and him going off adventuring alone and meeting different "beasts" that he tames...

So yea... beasts... if beasts were humans with a few animal features, then oh man, a lot of people are into "beasts" these days, huh?
This anime is not an isekai, but if it was, I would consider it a thrash isekai. It is just pure fantasy, but not a really well done one imho.

The story presentation is pretty cringe. Only good vibes, which quite a few times feel forced, ... MC always gets that luck to meet the beasts/people at the right time, wins them over with his basic nice guy friendliness and makes contracts with them, and they happily agree... but there's no feeling of struggle. Everything just falls into MC's hand, always at the right place and right time, saying the right things (which are just some basic words) and winning everyone over... well, besides the few "antagonists" ig, which are just your typical scumbags without an explained reason, or a very poorly one.

The whole story feels weak to me, nothing deep in it, barely any worldbuilding, easily guessed, everything exacerbated by the MC which has the personality of the "good guy" that always wishes to help and barely has any other emotions or depth to him, and the other characters being all over him because he's a really nice and "interesting" guy... All presented in a very, at least to me, cringe way, like everyone calling his name at the same time kind of way. And oh man, can the MC grow a pair of balls?? Feels like the whole anime he needs pampering from his newly acquired girls... cough... "beasts"... to actually man up and do something without being a worrywart. Sometime he does show some resemblance of confidence, but then he doesn't... You know the archetype of MC where even when they are strong af and everyone in his team are as well, and he keeps doing stuff that no one else can and everyone says how unbelievable he is, but he's all about that "oh please, I am a normal beast tamer. In fact, my whole childhood is normal!" (small spoiler: it isn't)? Ye, he's that type, and it gets old... for me it is already very old because I've already seen my share of these kind of MCs, and they weren't entertaining then, and they still aren't now. At least he doesn't shy away from doing things... even though the power of friendship trope is strong in this one....

The other characters are pretty nice, especially the ones he makes contracts with. One thing I enjoyed was the comedy in this anime. It felt pretty good and nicely presented. Also some interactions were normal good vibes, no cringe stuff... but there are moments and speeches that are just pure cringe for me. Felt sometimes like I was watching some kids show ngl.

I'm not even going to touch about the plot holes or weird plot decisions, like how did the hero's party not recognize Rein's worth as a special beast tamer? Every normal beast tamer there seems to exist there, can only tame one animal at once, but Rein can do multiple, and only him, which would make him very special, but for some reason nobody in the Hero's party and around them knew that?? Okay...

Story: 6 -- Not much of a story tbh, it kinda goes with the flow of what happens in that moment and how the MC reacts... but too many perfect moments and lucky for the MC. No struggle whatsoever, besides ig before he got kicked out, but you just get remembered that...

Art: 7 -- Pretty nice to look at art, but the fights, and there are a few of them, aren't that great. A lot of static images and then showing the results kind of fights.

Music: 6 -- Mediocre.

Characters: 6 -- I did not like the MC at all, and the others were rotating around the MC like crazy, so couldn't really see much progress or personality in them besides basic stuff. Barely any growth as well... which is a shame, because sometimes it felt like there will be quite some progress or something. Liked the comedy tho, wanted to see more of it tho.

Enjoyment: 6 -- It was a mostly meh watch with a few okay moments for me.

Tbh, for me this is a forgettable anime, so I cannot really recommend it. There's nothing special going for it, besides maybe being an anime you watch for the really good vibes, but with your brain turned off so the cringe doesn't hurt you. Maybe for someone that's new in the anime world it might seem good and enjoy it. So yea, can't say it is worth much of your time.

This isn't a typical romance anime, but not being typical doesn't automatically makes it better. Although the anime comes under the genre of "romance", I initially found it to be the most boring plot of the show. By boring I don't mean it is exactly poorly-written; however, the whole thing seemed to be run by lust. Personally not my taste. For Yukira, the motivation is lust as well as a certain "obsession" with George, this puts a great power imbalance between the couple, rendering the relationship toxic. As for George, it isn't clear what drives him to date her, maybe it is that he could ... tame her to be "better" than his mother? But alas, it seems control is what attracts him towards her. So for as long the show focused on this so called "romance", it was an extremely boring event. Despite the complex nature of it, I don't think the show itself makes a lot of efforts to make it the primary focus, if it did the story could have gone smoother. His manipulative actions and her insecurity were a perfect amalgamation of a distasteful love story. This goes on for almost the first 7 episodes; they were so insufferable that it is the first show in which I didn't root for a single character.

However, my rating is contradicting my review. But it really isn't, as the last 5 episodes redeem the show -at least- partially for me. As it started developing the individual characters more and more, especially Isabella (she is such a wasted potential). All the characters have so many quirks, which if were to be explored, could've made this series one of a kind.

But, there is a certain change in perspective that the last 5 eps brings -even though she allowed him to "control" her, there is a positive change that his "whims" brought to her life, and that in itself is a beautiful contradiction. I am not saying that George's motive was to ruin her life, but I don't think he was working in her personal interests as well. What makes their relationship appear more meaningful by the end is that, even though his acts were selfish, she benefited from it. To me, this co-incidence has a charm. But the anime doesn't really set the narration as that, which makes some viewers to actually root for them to end up together. I don't expect the characters to find the same toxicity in their relationship as I do, but the idea of two individuals finding something dynamic at the end of all their interactions, toxic or not, is something that makes their "love" beautiful.

If I see it through this lens, the ending is a happy one for me. After those episodes the main relationship started feeling more meaningful to me, leading the finale to an impactful conclusion. The relationship dynamic became more interesting.

All in all, the characters, setting, sound and animation still makes it worth a try. I just hoped that the anime had focused more on individual character exploration, the show would have easily been a 10/10 for me. It is definitely one of those shows which I will remember from time to time.

Okay, after the first season, I really hoped for something great or a more brain-damaging arc. Where is the war? Where is the rizz to battle and the determination to win? It's all, somehow, including the Jack the Ripper part, the James Bond part, and the Dark Knight part. I totally didn't understand why and how the MP fell for Moriarty's trap, and even idolized him. Anyone with an insane mind and justice personality will oppose Moriarty without any hesitation. In fact, Moriarty didn't even need to manipulate him.

I am not opposing Moriarty, I love his character. I don't really feel the story anymore ...

IT'S REALLY HARD TO DISLIKE SOMETHING LIKE THIS, IT'S PURE GOLD ALL AROUND

I think the first thing you need to know is that there’s A LOT of CONTENT in every single section possible. You’ll probably think they overstuffed the episode or stretched it unnecessarily, but it’s the EXACT OPPOSITE. Every damn scene is crafted properly to be funny, entertaining, and even memorable—you’ll definitely remember a bunch of them once the episode is over. And that’s one of the things I love most when watching anime. So, keep this in mind: you’ll feel the love they poured into making this project.

⚠️WARNING: EXCESSIVE APPRECIATION DUE TO THE ... INSANE QUALITY OF THIS PROJECT :V⚠️
Before I even talk about the humor, the animation is BRUTAL. Just in the first minutes you already see that reference to 90s or 80s anime, and throughout the whole show they’ll try a FASCINATING VARIETY of animation styles, which fits perfectly for a Slice of Life comedy where everything keeps changing.
But let me say this for the third time: every detail is insanely sweet to look at, like Sakura’s eyes or Marin’s explanations. So whether it’s varied animation or the standard one, it’s 100% enjoyable.

The humor, AAAAH, when you love something, words just aren’t enough to explain it to others. Sometimes I hated how fast it was, like the audience was full of brainrotted people, but once I realized they were using every second to throw a joke and never let the pace drop, I knew this was PURE QUALITY. And the best part? Those jokes actually have impact, like destroying someone’s house or almost ruining a couple. Bro, with 50 jokes per episode, it’s IMPOSSIBLE not to find something to laugh at in this anime.

The plot is super familiar—escaping from all the ninjas trying to kill Satoko—but that only takes like 15 seconds of each episode XDDDD. It’s just one more joke out of the 50
Now that I think about it, the side characters might seem forgettable at first, but like I said, every damn scene is made with so much care, also thanks to the voice actresses, and every time I remember them, I laugh again.

Speaking of characters—the main ones are total opposites: one is way too cold, and the other one’s just plain stupid. But they have to stick together for their own interests, and wooooow, that creates some amazing situations, like the Roboko episode. I don’t wanna copy every single line just so you get it, but seriously, just give the first two episodes a chance.

And even when I thought everything was AMAZING, I realized the production is also super versatile. They give me, IN THE SAME EPISODE, a beautiful friendship and then such a dark twist?? Just applause for that flawless production. Same goes for the OST and the voice actresses.
This anime is so solid that even someone who watches anime in 5-minute clips could die laughing for a while. That’s why I think it’s totally valid for you to consider watching it.

I didn’t find many negatives, but if there’s one thing I didn’t love, it’s that when everything is so good, even tiny moments that aren’t as great make me extra picky. But don’t let that bother you—it’s just my taste and it shouldn’t take away from everything this show accomplished.
I’m not giving it a 10 because that number is too special to me, and besides, we still don’t know how this will end. But from far away, this already looked like a BEAUTIFUL project.

The supporting cast is equally well-written. Fern and Stark, her younger party members, feel like full people, not just archetypes. The show explores relationships without leaning on clichés—there’s empathy, humor, pain, and personal growth.

What elevates Frieren is how it handles its themes. Loss isn’t portrayed with melodrama but quiet sorrow. Magic isn’t just spectacle—it’s treated as a metaphor for understanding and communication. Is It Overhyped?
Some might argue that Frieren is a bit overhyped, and to a degree, that’s understandable. Its slow pacing and quiet storytelling won’t be for everyone. If you’re looking for nonstop action or high-stakes battles every episode, this isn’t it.

But calling it “overhyped” risks overlooking what makes it special. Frieren isn’t trying to be the loudest anime of the year—it’s trying to be the most honest. And in doing so, it succeeds spectacularly.

Final Thoughts

I enjoyed 'Magnetic Rose' very much. The concept was interesting and the characters were easy to understand. Really enjoyed the soundtrack on this one. I'm rating it an 8/10 due to this short story alone.

It is a very beautiful anime and the thing I found the most interesting was the storytelling. Side characters are interesting and are displayed repeatedly and developed really well. Pretty much everything has already been said about Lovely Complex. Most of it is true, it is a genre defining shojo story. Albeit it also has its flaws.

This is so ahistorical, I'm torn whether it came from the mind of a kindergartner or someone who actually just hates history. The dialogue is riddled with nonsensical tropes and fake deep crap; the world building tore down the backdrop of history and stood up a couple of punching bags with the word "CHURCH" on them; the characters are mostly one dimensional; the characters are a different height every other cut.

To summarize into one word, trash. For a long explanation, read below:

The reboot of "Demon Lord, Retry! R" fail to live up to the promise of its first season, with reviewers like me condemning its lack of improvement, narrative missteps, and reliance on filler content for the first 2 damn episode. Despite the original series being hailed as a "rare good isekai" with strong pacing, character design, and dialogue, the reboot devolves into a very disjointed and frustrating experience. I read some reviews on other sites that argue the sequel carries over nearly all the flaws of its predecessor while introducing new issues, (which it ... really did) resulting in an anime that feels unnecessary and poorly executed. (same goes with the Manga reboot)

One of the most glaring failures of "Demon Lord, Retry! R" is its inability to maintain the quality of its predecessor. Season 1 for me imo was praised for its character development, animation style, and cohesive story shown throughout the story, but the reboot abandons these strengths. Some reviewers with me would argue that Season 2 "is a completely different" and is a disappointment, plagued by inconsistent storytelling and a lack of direction. The series also suffers from filler episodes that derail the plot, with one critic calling Episode 7 "stupid" and criticizing its divergence from the original storyline.

This inconsistency undermines any goodwill I had built by the first season. Furthermore, the reboot fails to innovate within the oversaturated isekai genre. While the premise trapping a protagonist in an RPG world initially offered casual fun, "Retry! R" squanders this potential by recycling tired tropes without meaningful exciting twists. Along with other reviews I read that I agree with the English dub reviews that highlight the show’s inability to engage the audiences, describing it as "complete crap" with no clear purpose.

Even basic technical aspects, such as pacing and dialogue, reportedly deteriorate/worsen (which it definitely have), leaving viewers like me puzzle and confuse at the decision to greenlight a sequel reboot.

In conclusion, for me and other of the original watcher of the series "Demon Lord, Retry! R", seem to be a cash-grab reboot that absolutely tarnishes the legacy of its source material (aka the original manga, and not the rebooted manga). By failing to address prior flaws, introducing filler-heavy narratives, and abandoning the strengths of Season 1, it turn away to set apart and detach both fans and critics alike. As one reviewer put it: "I can’t even understand the point of why it was made", is a damning verdict judgment for the series that once showed promise. Although am not putting all the blame on the studio but rather all of it on the author!

The greatest of the modern myths, and the most resplendent in both absurdity and sublimity, that in its shimmering extravagance, ascends to the heights of Dante, plunges into the depths of Heraclitus, and shatters with cosmic fists the stale stone idols of our post-shonen era(although coming from the golden age of anime, but still remaining relevant with both the classic saga and the later titles who add to the lore).

Saint Seiya is a sacred epic presented as a battle-shonen, a transfiguration of metal and myth. Like all true works of art, it is not the invention of man, but a mirror ... in which man rediscovers his forgotten divinity. To call Saint Seiya an epic is to speak with the quiet conviction of those who recognize the eternal struggle beneath the dazzling armor: the clash between the microcosm and macrocosm(which is in short the very idea about the "Cosmos": the same power that the knights unravel through their battles). Here, the armors are not mere shells of metal; they are the living embodiment of the soul’s quest for sanctity, each piece forged in the crucible of stellar dust(it is precisely in the brilliant combination of the sacred and the profane that the knights’ armors are born, described in Kurumada’s Hypermyth as the alchemical marriage between orichalcum, a well known metal as originating from the lost civilization of Atlantis, and gammanium, a fictional star-born metal) and only to be repaired/reforged(or brought back to life) through the immolation of a god or a saint(through their blood), for blood is not a scandal but a sacrament. The body must be broken, for only then does the true nature of the cosmos emerge.

The knights are saints, or individuals in pursuit of sanctity. The armor symbolizes destiny, the macrocosmic garment that guides man in his microcosm. It resembles Paul’s description of faith as armor, a garment against temptations and the vicissitudes brought about by evil, and is also akin to the Achilles’ shield forged by Hephaestus, as described in the Iliad. That shield symbolized Achilles’ submission to the macrocosm and the fate of the civilization he came to represent from that point onward: the entire macrocosm of the greek world was contained in the shield, as a symbol of the will of the gods.

The same can be said of the knights’ armors, which carry within them the symbolization of the qualities to be perfected along their journey toward sanctity. As a knight increases his cosmos, his armor is elevated in the hierarchy of metals: from bronze to silver, from silver to gold, and from gold to the glorious metal of divine cloth. But the most important aspect here is not the material hierarchy of metals, but rather the qualities that Kurumada centers in his myth through the bronze knights who are chosen as the main protectors of Athena. If we pay attention to the constellations that govern these characters, we will notice they are all archetypes that aspire toward the heavens.

- Pegasus symbolizes the reborn body after the death of the Medusa.
- Cygnus’s prefiguration of the Holy Spirit(also being the purity that walks on water).
- Phoenix’s solar immortality of the glorified resurrected body(as Christ from the tomb).
- Dragon's extraordinary courage(the eternal struggle that guards the golden treasure within).
- Andromeda’s unconditional devotion to the sun in the face of the abyss.

The mythic center is Athena, not the goddess as a quaint figure of greek fancy, but as the eternal Logos(although being exoterically presented as the living Nous) dressed in marble and made in flesh. She is Justice, she is Wisdom, she is also Charity and Mercy, she's the sacred center of the polis, not because she rules it, but because she suffers for it. Her Sanctuary is the high place of the world, not geographically but ontologically. To defend Athena is to defend the soul of civilization, and thus, the entire plot of Saint Seiya, with its labyrinth of battles and sacrifices, is nothing less than a mystical ascent: a pilgrimage through suffering toward the throne of Truth, a motif echoing the hierophany of a christian mythos where the divine and human intersect in sacrificial love.

Saint Seiya is, in truth, a bold synthesis of catholicism and classical myth, where the ancient greek gods are not supplanted but transformed, transfigured by the the logos spermatikos, the seed-bearing reason that bridges pagan and christian(what appears as tension but updates as convergence), myth and history, revealing the eternal in the temporal.

A tale about boys charging into the abyss with nothing but faith and fists. They do not win because they're powerful, they win because they believe.

In sum, Saint Seiya is the living mythos of our age, the greatest anime of all time, not because it is flawless, but because it is fearless.

Every year there are those few releases. I don’t think I need to say much more, you know what I’m talking about. The few new shows that fly above the thick cloud of the year’s releases and capture their limited and distinct spot among the discussions that will come to characterise that year. Simply, every year is defined by a select few new releases which, because of: heavy emotional impact, a new and unique premise, notoriety from past seasons, notably high quality etc. gain favour with the community and grow to be the great successes of the year. If you need some examples I would ... be talking about say: Quintessential Quintuplets, Violet Evergarden, Demon Slayer and Delicious In Dungeon. Yes, Delicious In Dungeon is certainly one of THE anime’s of 2024. It seems the studio even foresaw this, seeing as there is no way they would structure the show in such a way there is no real ending without knowing it would succeed. They knew it would be massive and a second season was all but guaranteed, and they’re certainly right.

So what makes this anime one of the special releases of 2024? We can start with the distinct style and detailed artwork. Characters always almost always look great, and if someone made a drawing in this style you would almost instantly recognize it. But by far its strongest virtue is the characters and world-building. There are no boring characters really, across the whole 24 episode season. They all act distinctly different, are 3-dimensional with complex backgrounds and personalities, and they work off each other to create a recognisable and iconic cast. This highlights the strength and quality of the writing, that we can also see on full display with the world around the characters. It’s complex, everything has its explanation, it all works together. This show has some of the best world-building I’ve witness in an anime. Of course the premise (cooking the monsters found in a natural ecosystem, the dungeon) requires this, and it is more than adequately done. My explanation of it is most likely inadequate, just know the world-building is excellent.

Another key factor in making this an iconic anime is the premise itself. You just need a unique and intriguing idea to create such a show, and Delicious In Dungeon is certainly founded on a new premise. A fantasy world where dungeon adventurers cook and prepare meals using the monsters of this unique ecosystem was an idea almost predestined to create an iconic anime. There’s much more drama to the story than what I just summarised but I don’t want to spoil anything. It’s an excellent idea with excellent execution.

You may say I’m being overly positive (as I usually am), however checking the ratings will reveal that the overwhelming majority of viewers agree with me, and rated this anime extremely positively. I highly recommend watching this anime, seeing as you’d probably like to be caught up when the second season releases and presumably takes its rightful place at the top of next years (?) discussion ;)

That’s how I’d describe Kowloon Generic Romance.

Let me be clear: this isn’t a bad anime—not at all. But it does feel like a collage of familiar ideas pulled from other shows. You've likely seen similar characters and dynamics before, placed into a vaguely dystopian, sci-fi romance structure. It’s presented with visuals reminiscent of late 80s to early 2000s anime, coated in what many might call a “retro-wave” aesthetic.

All that said I do not think this is perfect, nor do I think this in any way bad. But, I do believe that this has many problems that would stop people from enjoying ... it. Here's a list:
1. Pacing:
This anime moves slowly. Painfully slowly. Think Steins;Gate 0, but with even less urgency. There’s a quiet, methodical progression that doesn't exactly hook you or push you to hit “next episode.” While I can appreciate that it avoids obnoxious cliffhangers, the lack of momentum may turn viewers away early. You really need patience for this one.

2. Backstories:
This is probably done on purpose, but the backstories of the characters never are quite revealing, every time I saw a reveal I just thought "hmm, alright what is this supposed to overall lead to?", and the anime seems to do it to just reveal romantic moments between the characters in their past, which doesn't really mean much to the viewer overall since they don't exactly edge the plot on too much.

3. Vibe:
This show wants to capture a retro-futuristic mood, and for the most part, it does. But it’s... odd. Imagine a 1980s world where people use modern smartphones but still work on chunky CRT monitors. It’s a strange blend that can break immersion and create an uncanny tension between past and future. It's not bad, just dissonant.

Now onto the good:
1. Characters:
The characters are surprisingly grounded. Their beliefs and actions make sense, and they aren’t just trope boxes being ticked off. There's subtlety in their relationships—especially in the romance—that's refreshing compared to the over-the-top melodrama many other anime lean into. While it’s not completely devoid of exaggeration, it rarely slips into full-blown nonsense.

2. Visuals:
I personally don't really mind much on whether or not an anime has amazing visuals, but I know many others do, and I can say without a doubt that this has a "vapor-wave, or Retro-wave" aesthetic, even if I see some issues with it. This really does remind you of animes that came out a long time ago, and I believe a lot of people will be caught up in the faux-nostalgia that this generates from these visuals. I cannot seem to quite pin point where I feel these visuals were inspired from, but they certainly look great, and I am sure that they will look great in 20 years from now.

Whether or not you’ll enjoy Kowloon Generic Romance depends heavily on your patience—and your taste for dystopian, mature, sci-fi romance. If you’re not into those themes, or if the issues I’ve mentioned sound like deal-breakers, then this probably isn’t the show for you.

7/10, A visually beautiful, thought-provoking anime with notable flaws. Worth watching, but not for everyone.

Now you may be wondering, "How could it be better if they followed the source material exactly in the adaptation?" Well, for one, the sound made the pacing so unbelievably awkward. To be honest, after reading, watching, and dropping both iterations of Solo Leveling, I still don't get the overwhelming hype this show got.

Tower of God, a manhwa that follows a similar trope of weak guy becomes unstoppably strong, does a far better job of balancing substance (characters/plot) with action. Solo Leveling is just a barrage of action scenes with smatterings of dialogue and no character development, in my opinion.

And if action is all you're looking for, you've come to the right spot, but I certainly don't believe this show deserves to be on a pedestal quite so high with just that.

To put simply, this anime is a waste of time and a waste of what could've been a very interesting plotline.

Starting with the premise that there's a somewhat secret division of "police" that are meant to be intermediaries between the supernatural and the public was promising. Everything after that is a bit of a mess.

Starting off with the fact that these "intermediaries" cannot even understand what these supernatural creatures are saying, leading to, of course, mind-numbing misunderstanding after misunderstanding. Even with the assistance of the newbie, who has taken on the role of translator, as the only one who can understand them.

Mixed Feelings

As someone who read the manga in preparation for the release of this show, I can only say that I'm disappointed.

Knowing the course of the source material, it was easy to overlook how much was wrong with the adaptation (mostly because I was just excited to see it animated), but thinking about how this could be some people's first interaction with the Sakamoto Days story made me extremely sad. Putting aside how lackluster the animation was, the flow of the episodes just felt very disjointed, and the pacing was also quite strange.

Dandadan has quickly become one of my all-time favorites. Is this because I have a childish sense of humor? Definitely, but, putting the ball jokes aside, I'm one of the many who also got sucked in by the amazing soundtrack, vivid colors, and lovable characters.

I will say that this show is most certainly not everyone's cup of tea, especially if you don't like tea that has an overwhelming number of dirty jokes. So if the idea of a possessed young man searching for his family jewels with the help of a ragtag crew while simultaneously fighting off aliens and other spirits doesn't sound enticing ...
