This anime was presented as an enemies-to-lovers story, but from episode one, the two leads were already on good terms, just stuck on opposite sides of their jobs. The romantic tension was strong, and the way the lieutenant struggled to keep his cool around her was genuinely funny. Their chemistry? Easily an 8/10.
Unfortunately, the story doesn’t progress much. Each episode feels the same, and the side content without the main duo just didn’t hit. I found myself wishing for more growth, both in the characters and the plot.
After learning the author passed away and this adaptation was made in their honor, I understand why the

This shit is the most mediocre slop I've watched in a minute. It's the definition of a show that is carried by nostalgia. While it has some redeeming moments in the pre-timeskip era of the show, it fails to capitalize on the gems that it does have, instead repeating the numerous unfunny gags and jokes that Oda insists on shoehorning into the anime. Several characters not only fail to develop meaningfully, but rather regress as characters, namely Usopp, who goes from a solid nigga who stands on business and will always clutch up to save his friends, to a coward who runs from the tontattas

Haibane Renmei is an example of amazing worldbuilding taking place in a setting that looks similar to what we're familiar with, but still unique in mysterious in so many cool ways. the pacing was so perfect, revealing little hints about what is going on in the first episodes, and then more comes flooding at you in the second half. i think it left the perfect amount of stuff left unknown.
the characters are all believable and behave in realistic ways for the most part. you become so attached to them so fast. i cried so much!!!

Let’s do a quick review
Animation: 8
Characters: 9
Comedy: 9.5
Story: 7.5
Soundtrack: 7.5
Normally, I’d start by saying “let’s begin with the bad parts,” but honestly, there weren’t any for me. The anime is consistently solid from beginning to end—I actually binged it all in one day because I enjoyed it that much.
It follows the same formula we see in a lot of isekai, action, or superpower anime: an insanely overpowered, untouchable protagonist. But unlike most of those shows, Sakamoto Days really nails this concept. It doesn’t treat the superpowers as something overly serious or constantly badass, but instead turns them into a steady source of comedy and fun. ...

Frieren feels caught between two aspirations: to be an episodic journey reflecting on the passage of time, and to deliver flashy battles pitting aura against aura. Unfortunately, the result is a story that does neither with a particularly graceful hand. If you look for shows that take a strong narrative, emotional, or thematic throughline to a satisfying resolution; if you prize focused storytelling that doesn't hinge on the use of ad hoc flashbacks or monologues to deliver needed information just in time; if you prefer not to sit through fights where characters wax unlyrical about the assurance of their inevitable victory, then Frieren might not

The work feels like a love-letter towards humanity's curiosity, celebrating human intelligence and legacy. It's a salute to the curious that question and explore the world, the bold who challenge the status quo, the passing of the torch between generations and groups. It's a good theme with some decent story to back it up, but the work has some issues.
1 - Chi does an interesting thing of changing main protagonists in arcs. Most arcs involve something from the new protagonist inheriting something from the previous one. Many characters recur more than you'd expect, but a decent amount are forgettable. The wide cast also means you ...

Spy x Family picks up where the previous season left off and continues showcasing the lives of Anya, Loid, and Yor. Each of them is still keeping their ‘true’ selves secret, but despite that they’re still coming closer together as a family. The highlight this season is a single arc that spans episodes 5 to 10. My biggest complaint with the previous season was the lack of fleshing out Yor, and this arc fixes that in a big way by not only having a Yor focused arc, but giving her the best arc so far. It has great character development in her where she reflects

Honestly a great watch to turn your brain off and just enjoy. Story is pretty straight forward but the twists are dumb fun and entertaining to watch how the writer matches the characters absurdity.
Animation and art style is solid on most parts and real effort has been put in.

As a newcomer to the Macross franchise, I enjoyed this show more than I had expected. I started with Macross Δ simply because its premise caught my eye. Singers working for the military is such a bizarre concept, but that's what made this show entertaining. The worldbuilding as a whole was really interesting. I've only watched one mecha anime before, so I can't really comment on the animation quality. But I can say that the music is great, so it makes every fight scene exciting. When it comes to the core of the show, though, it's really a mixed bag.

Art and animation is actually very good as one would expect from such a hyped up anime. The story is also very good i'd argue. Momo and her granny are funny and great characters, not sure about a granny being such gooner bait but it's fine i guess. Dropped it and gave a 4 out of 10 because Ken is an annoying lame wimp and his character is just painful to watch.
But if you're into wimps getting p*ssy then I'm positive you'll enjoy this OK anime.

I have so much good to say about Dress Up Darling, but unfortunately one bad glaring problem that I'm afraid may turn some viewers off of the show entirely.
To start with the good, the characterization of our main girl Marin has got to be one of my personal favorites. She's bright, passionate, funny, and just plain adorable. Gojo is also a great main guy and his personality meshes so well with Marin's. I love how his and Marin's relationship grows over the course of the season and it makes me so excited to see more of them with Season 2 coming out soon. ...

Another anime of those that appears when you have nothing to watch, and maybe it would be better to have nothing to watch... But I gave it a chance, because just like in any season, I need to watch at least 1 isekai anime or something like that (in this case it's RPG elements). Honestly, as I expected, it was an anime more or less, with very cool action moments (which surprised me in the first episodes, I didn't expect this kind of quality in an anime like this lol), but it always ends up falling into the same thing as always in animes of

The comedy in this was decent. The friendships were wholesome. It was the romance. The typical Japanese style shojo slice of life anything goes romance that made me give this a lower score. Mind you, I live in Japan. I am a girl. The only reason I'm insulting this romance style is because I've experienced it and it's the most confusing why on earth are you doing this kind of vibe you will ever suffer through, especially from a western perspective. If you could put up with Fuka from Kodocha, or Yui Narumi from Ao Haru Ride, then you may enjoy the relationship development in

This anime is a masterpiece that is somehow heavily undermined by its own author. The worldbuilding is impressive, the approach that somehow refers to both RPG and Lovecraft's eldritch horror works. It is a world with very interesting restrictions and social organization.
The map is wonderfully detailed. The idea of the relics is also very good. There are, however, flaws in the script in the relationships between the characters and even deeper flaws in whatever statement the author is making with this type of work. The problems with the script lie in the strong appeal of misery porn with which the author seeks to create empathy ...

I watched all six episodes of the anime Tentai Senshi SunRed. Technically, the story doesn’t really follow the hero Sunred, but rather focuses on the villain organization. The villains are actually super nice — more like good guys.
There are plenty of interesting characters, the animation style is very enjoyable, no drama, everything points to it being a solid comedy anime.
But here’s the biggest problem with this anime: it’s not funny. And even as a slice of life, it’s not interesting.
In short, the anime is just super mid.
Personally, I’d give it a six out of ten.

A really fun sports anime that just checks all the right boxes of the genre. Very likeable quirky cast of diverse characters that might fall into classic stereotypes, but the show delivers these stereotypes so well it feels actually really fresh. Add their very organic relationships the mix and you have a sollid basis for great heartwarming moments, something that the likes of Blue Lock severely lack.
Sure, Hinomaruzumou itself is your standard sports anime with an underdog MC who tries to climb to the top with determination alone and doesn't offer much above that premise, but it has so much heart I didn't mind for ...

As I approach episode 12, I honestly regret watching this anime even more. The animation is consistently substandard, with visuals that often feel stiff and lack detail, diminishing the immersive experience it should offer. Even worse, the anime is overloaded with excessive dialogue. Instead of letting the story unfold through action or character expression, we're subjected to a barrage of conversations that feel tedious and unnecessary. This significantly slows down the pacing, and boredom often sets in due to the minimal meaningful plot development. The combination of mediocre animation and an overly talkative script is truly annoying and detracts from the overall viewing pleasure.

TLDR: Promising premise, terrible execution. The definition of mid.
Spoiler free long version:
This is the kind of Anime where you think "man, this actually sounds very interesting, let's give it a watch. Also Rie Takahashi is beloved by many, so a good sign?
BZZZT! Far from correct.
50% of the animation budget got used for the opening. Ending? Opending? The opening and Ending are constantly switching around for no reason. But I digress.
The problem is: The characters are bland, there is barely any character development, and everything gets pushed forward and resolved by the most worn out cliches you can think of.

The story isn’t particularly deep or unique, and some events feel random or without much explanation. But honestly, that’s part of the charm — it doesn't try to be logical or serious. If you enjoy light comedy with hints of romance, this series delivers just that.
The characters are fun to watch, though not always well-developed. They can feel exaggerated or overly quirky, but that fits the overall tone. Don’t expect deep emotional arcs or complex character growth — instead, just go along for the ride and enjoy the humor.

Art work: The animation is top notch! There is no comparison! It doesn't try to be something else, it sticks to its originality. Th world building through art is very good. You understand that world even without being there, that is the power of great animation. Its also clean & beautiful keeping up with today's times.

Seiyuu Radio no Uraomote – A Static Frequency
“Seiyuu Radio no Uraomote” had all the ingredients for a potentially engaging slice-of-life drama: a peek behind the curtain of the voice acting industry, two contrasting protagonists with a secret rivalry, and the charm of high school banter mixed with professional ambition. One of the best romance anime I’ve ever seen. Even though it's from 2013, I feel like not many newer titles have managed to reach the same level of immersion. The story is clear and engaging—while there were a few parts in the relationships that I didn’t completely understand, everything wraps up in a satisfying way.

Komori-san Can't Decline! is a simple yet delightful set of shorts about a girl who loves helping others and just can't turn down a request for aid. The story follows her and her friends as her self-sacrificial optimism gets her into all kinds of shenanigans. Honestly, given that they made Komori so much more 'developed' than her classmates, this could have very easily turned into something distinctly unwholesome, but outside of a few instances of very tame fanservice, it maintains its tone as a simple, lighthearted, SoL comedy. Indeed, given how cramped the episodes feel and how short the whole anime is, the fact that

Before I begin this review, it's worth noting that I am the first to review this title on MAL, and even the first to give it a score at all. It is my belief that every anime deserves at least one proper review, deserves to have its content engaged and reckoned with. No matter how obscure it is, and no matter how long ago it was made, an anime still represents the creative passion of its creators, the hopes and dreams of the team that made it, and as such, I will give this one a fair and honest accounting here. Sakamoto Days honestly didn’t work for me. The whole vibe felt off — the so-called villain didn’t feel threatening at all, he acted more like a comic relief character rather than someone serious. It’s hard to stay invested when the main antagonist feels like a joke.
The anime tries to mix comedy and action, but the balance isn’t done well. Most of the episodes felt slow and kind of pointless. Even the fights didn’t give that "wow" factor.

First time writing a review for anything, because this show finally confirmed a pet peeve that I couldn't put a finger on when watching music and performance related anime. I really don't like when so much melodrama is added- via excessive monologuing, visual effects or writing- to live performances. Especially the trope of the character bombing the start of the performance and going through an intense inner soul-searching, before getting an epiphany of sorts and suddenly blowing everyone's socks off (audience: "her tone changed?!"). This is probably biased cos I'm a guitarist myself and have bombed my fair share of concerts LOL and well this

This series has been a painful watch, and it's mainly because of how it's handling its characters. Hina, who has so much depth and emotional range, is being completely underutilized. It feels like the story keeps sidelining her in favor of Chinatsu, whose character honestly lacks the complexity and spark needed to carry the emotional core of the plot.

Initial D is my favourite anime of all time, I tried watching it and holy shit this is the most abysmal thing I have ever seen. The characters have no personality, the race chorography and pacing is WAY more boring and slow than in Fifth Stage. (seriously how did they manage to do that?) The office romance theme felt refreshingly mature and realistic. Instead of overly dramatic or exaggerated emotions, the show portrayed relationships in a subtle, grounded way that really hit home. It is hard to describe my feelings of Initial D fifth stage, I'll start off with the positives. The story and arcs are much stronger than they are in fourth stage, in fact fourth stage barley had any story to it. And the development of Keisuke's character is executed very well in Fifth stage. I also think the last 2 races could have had the potential of being some of the best races in the entire series, which leads me to my reasons for disliking it. The racing chorography and energy is just so much less than in the previous seasons, and despite the stage

Its purpose is to capture the beauty of the experience of normal life in art style and vibe. Back in the day, we (Fujoshi) were in the trenches. There were some good BL manga, but they adapted a lot of slop. Aside from obviously bad series like Boku no Pico, Okane ga Nai has to be one of the worst BL series ever. And I don't mean the most unpleasant, because it gets worse when you delve into manga. I mean in a way where this manga had every trope that people hated in BL series. SA, ultra girly uke, extreme size difference with the seme being 7 feet tall and the uke being 4 feet rall, this

I remember randomly finding this series as a kid on YouTube. Those were the days... Watching anime on YouTube. Clicking on things due to curiosity. It's how I discovered a lot of random OVAs as a kid.
Hindsight, I was too young to be watching this. I remember clicking on it, and it unsettled me. It was the first graphic series that I had seen. Most had sexual situations and gratuitous fanservice, but they never explicitly showed the act. This series was the first one I found that showed that, and it shocked me. I ...

I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this anime. Eventually you watch so many that some troupes begin to grow old. Finding out about the main characters' abilities, I for sure thought they were all going to be one trick ponies. They were all actually quite well rounded characters that had a variety of skill and personality. Though shot with only 11 episodes for the first season, the show didn't turn sour.
Not to mention the fact that the fight scenes were not lacking in intensity. I've found frequently that comedic shows often soften their more violent scenes (if any) for the sake of ...

6/10 ~ Good start
Funny enough I found Elusive Samurai because I was trying to find ' Blue Eye Samurai' not realizing that was a netflix exclusive. Thinking I was going into a cross dressing revenge story about a samurai... well that made the first few episodes a bit confusing haha.
The first few ep of Elusive were extremely good, with some pretty unique visuals and an interesting story telling. Similar to Vinland Saga where both stories felt like a retelling of the events that transpired, dramatized to stay interesting, describing people with superhuman strength and abilities was a good way to tell a story like ...

This is a legit masterpiece, 10 out of 10 across the board. It has never been on this scale for me with 99% of Isekai. To cross the 8 range to a 9 is tough, but this anime is simple exceptional.
I think personally the most important part in an anime is typically it's...
ANIMATION – 10/10
This is MAPPA, and they do not miss. The animation here is gentle and expressive—not flashy, but incredibly detailed. The magical sequences where Natsuko brings her drawing to life are jaw-dropping, like watching a moving painting. Every frame feels intentional. It’s a departure from MAPPA’s usual kinetic chaos, but it’s ...

Never a dud season with Natsume Yuujinchou.
I've seen all there is with Natsume's anime adaptation, and I'm glad we got a seventh installment last 2024. I just finished it now and am so incredibly proud at how it continues to be consistently amazing almost two decades later. The episodes are never dull and each season always occupies an important spot each time I watch them. You can tell that the creators and animators really took a lot of care in making each one—and as a viewer, it makes you all the more invested in watching each episode with love and care. I'm almost jealous of ...

Serial Experiments Lain did not enchant me the way I hoped it would.
The first episode really got me hooked but all episodes after that felt like a pretentious and unenjoyable mess. The first half of the season honestly felt like a chore to watch. This show is also so insanely unstimulating, I kept on zoning out 24/7.
I love shows that aren't dopamine fuelled and make you think instead. But it gets to a point.
I really tried to get it. To see what the writers saw in this show. But maybe I'm just missing something. Something crucial that flew over my head that would've made ...

This show was definitely a bit of a mixed bag.
It took the typical "I want to be the greatest" plot and flipped it on its head. The MC, Noel, is not a good person. If anything, he's kind of evil. But there is logic to everything he does in the show and watching his little schemes to get ahead is what makes the show entertaining. Although the show would have benefitted from showing a little bit more of Noel's set-ups instead of plopping them down on the table most of the time. Even still the aspect was interesting and held my attention.
Contrarily, I don't think ...

This show was an alright one. The plot points and characters would make it about a 7 for me, however there are some aspects that brought it down to a super average show for me.
First, the prince is a bit of a creep. He's extremely forward with the MC even when they're really young and that weirded me out a bit. But I guess that's the girl's romance side of it that I can't understand.
Second is the poor animation at times. It's very noticeable that the budget wasn't super high for it, but these shojo shows rarely have much of one, so I ...

This show was a really weird watch.
I'll start with the pros:
- The story is actually good. It's fun to see some of the end results in the Hero storyline and wonder how you get there from Kumoko's story. The twists are fun and the "system" mechanic is interesting and well thought out. The set-ups toward the end do leave you with more questions than answers, which if they had paced the show correctly, might have seen some tying up.
-The character's are also fairly well done. Everyone has their own personality and goals and, for the most part, aren't just walking tropes. This is excluding ...

So I like to keep the very few reviews that I do short and straightforward. The show is a good watch if you have some free time. To start with the main issue the show or the story of the show is very rushed. They crammed 3 arcs in 12 episodes, they probably had to skip a lot of stuff to do so. Despite that it was very enjoyable. It is definitely not unwatchable and is actually good. The characters were good but aside from the main characters the others had mad potential for depth and could be explored further, but they couldn’t bcz they

This is the Review for Hellsing Ultimate.
The story telling and pacing was a little wanky, but generally it was a very good watch! I almost wish it was longer, but I feel as if 10 episodes is the perfect length for an anime such as this.
My only real gripe is one that was brought up from watching the Abridged first. In the Abridged, the pacing of the story, the reveal of certain details, and the romance that happened are handled far better. It fails to be an unraveling story with reveals, and is instead a handfed plotline. There's no suspense, no questions. As soon as ...
