This anime was presented as an enemies-to-lovers story, but from episode one, the two leads were already on good terms, just stuck on opposite sides of their jobs. The romantic tension was strong, and the way the lieutenant struggled to keep his cool around her was genuinely funny. Their chemistry? Easily an 8/10.

Unfortunately, the story doesn’t progress much. Each episode feels the same, and the side content without the main duo just didn’t hit. I found myself wishing for more growth, both in the characters and the plot.

Haibane Renmei is an example of amazing worldbuilding taking place in a setting that looks similar to what we're familiar with, but still unique in mysterious in so many cool ways. the pacing was so perfect, revealing little hints about what is going on in the first episodes, and then more comes flooding at you in the second half. i think it left the perfect amount of stuff left unknown.

the characters are all believable and behave in realistic ways for the most part. you become so attached to them so fast. i cried so much!!!

Depois de toda a estilização dos dois primeiros filmes — do surrealismo exagerado ao espetáculo visual — este terceiro capítulo arranca-te a alma com uma honestidade desconcertante. É um encerramento que não grita, mas sussurra algo muito mais íntimo: somos frágeis. Somos egoístas. E mesmo assim, somos humanos.

A narrativa aqui não fecha com respostas fáceis. Fecha com dor, amor mal resolvido, decisões que pesam mais que espadas. E isso é precisamente o que o torna tão especial. Tudo o que parecia exagerado ou esteticamente "demasiado" nos filmes anteriores é agora reinterpretado como uma expressão crua do ... conflito interno das personagens. Há beleza na violência. Há ternura no silêncio. Há verdade no absurdo.

A direção é simplesmente sublime — cada plano, cada pausa, cada gesto está carregado de simbolismo e sentimento. SHAFT atinge aqui um nível quase operático de expressão visual. Mas o mais chocante é que, no meio de tanto sangue e grandiosidade, o filme se reduz ao que é mais puro: uma história de ligação humana, de perda, de escolha.

Sinto que não vi apenas um final — vi uma confissão.

Kizumonogatari não é apenas uma trilogia. É uma experiência. Uma espiral estética e emocional que começa com estranheza, mergulha na intensidade e termina numa honestidade brutal — crua, humana e inesquecível.

O primeiro filme, Tekketsu-hen, é uma introdução desafiante. Lento, surreal, quase grotesco. Mas é precisamente aí que reside a sua força: recusa ser acessível, optando por estabelecer atmosfera e estranheza em vez de conforto narrativo. Cada escolha visual é arriscada, cada diálogo desconcertante. É o tipo de obra que sabe que pode afastar o espectador — e ainda assim, permanece fiel a si própria. E por isso, merece respeito.

Nekketsu-hen, o segundo filme, explode com uma intensidade avassaladora. A evolução é notável: a animação atinge novos patamares, a narrativa torna-se mais física, mais emocional, mais violenta. Mas o que realmente brilha é a profundidade simbólica — os diferentes estilos de animação, a construção dos diálogos, e até as cenas sensuais são usados como ferramentas narrativas, e não como distrações. É onde percebemos que esta trilogia não quer só contar uma história — quer explorar o humano no inumano.

E então chega Reiketsu-hen. O fim. E o que parecia ser uma saga estilizada revela-se, no fundo, uma história de dor, egoísmo, sacrifício e humanidade. Nunca esperei uma conclusão tão emocionalmente sincera. A violência estética dá lugar ao silêncio dos gestos. O espetáculo dá lugar à escolha íntima. O fim não é épico — é trágico, pessoal, real. Como deve ser.

Kizumonogatari não é fácil. Não é para todos. Mas para quem está disposto a mergulhar, é uma das mais corajosas e belas trilogias da animação moderna. Uma obra-prima que sangra, ama, e permanece.

As a newcomer to the Macross franchise, I enjoyed this show more than I had expected. I started with Macross Δ simply because its premise caught my eye. Singers working for the military is such a bizarre concept, but that's what made this show entertaining. The worldbuilding as a whole was really interesting. I've only watched one mecha anime before, so I can't really comment on the animation quality. But I can say that the music is great, so it makes every fight scene exciting. When it comes to the core of the show, though, it's really a mixed bag.

Momo and her granny are funny and great characters, not sure about a granny being such gooner bait but it's fine i guess. Dropped it and gave a 4 out of 10 because Ken is an annoying lame wimp and his character is just painful to watch.

But if you're into wimps getting p*ssy then I'm positive you'll enjoy this OK anime.

Another anime of those that appears when you have nothing to watch, and maybe it would be better to have nothing to watch... But I gave it a chance, because just like in any season, I need to watch at least 1 isekai anime or something like that (in this case it's RPG elements). Honestly, as I expected, it was an anime more or less, with very cool action moments (which surprised me in the first episodes, I didn't expect this kind of quality in an anime like this lol), but it always ends up falling into the same thing as always in animes of ... this genre. Even though it was extremely predictable from the moment I hit my eye, I had fun, and I think that's the most important thing in a story! I've always liked exploration and level system in games and RPG's, so seeing this in an anime cheers me up too. A story doesn't always have to be amazing to entertain you and this type of anime is the greatest proof of that. I'm not saying you can turn off your brain and watch it (because I think it's disrespectful at a certain point, we limit art a lot when thinking that way), but it's good to watch when you have nothing to do and just want to relax and have a little fun, the "normal" animes of the seasons (this one included) always deliver great moments of fun.

Mais um anime daqueles que aparece no momento em que você não tem nada pra assistir, e talvez fosse melhor ficar sem nada para assistir... Mas dei uma chance, pois assim como em qualquer temporada, eu preciso assistir pelo menos 1 anime de isekai ou algo do gênero (nesse caso são elementos RPG). Sinceramente como eu esperava era um anime mais ou menos, com momentos de ação bem legais (que me surpreenderam nos primeiros episódios, não esperava esse tipo de qualidade em um anime desse kkkkk), porém que sempre acaba caindo na mesma coisa de sempre em animes desse gênero. Mesmo sendo extremamente previsível a partir do momento em que bati o olho, eu me diverti, e acho que isso é o mais importante em uma história! Sempre gostei de exploração e sistema de níveis em jogos e RPG's, então ver isso em um anime me anima também. Nem sempre uma história precisa ser mirabolante para te entreter e esse tipo de anime é a maior prova disso. Não digo que você pode desligar o cérebro e assistir (até porque acho isso um desrespeito em certo ponto, limitamos muito a arte ao pensar dessa forma), mas é bom para assistir quando você não tem nada para fazer e só quer relaxar e se divertir um pouco, os animes "normais" das temporadas (esse incluso) sempre entregam ótimos momentos de diversão.

The comedy in this was decent. The friendships were wholesome. It was the romance. The typical Japanese style shojo slice of life anything goes romance that made me give this a lower score. Mind you, I live in Japan. I am a girl. The only reason I'm insulting this romance style is because I've experienced it and it's the most confusing why on earth are you doing this kind of vibe you will ever suffer through, especially from a western perspective. If you could put up with Fuka from Kodocha, or Yui Narumi from Ao Haru Ride, then you may enjoy the relationship development in ... this anime. Some characters in the show have more sensible and cute relationships that make the eh ones barrable. But it just wasn't my thing.

That being said, this manga and show are actually decently popular in Japan. There are new copies on display with other manga like Shugo Chara and Card Captor Sakura, right out front next to the cash register, one of the first things you see when you walk into the Village Vanguard near me. So it does have something going for it.

Animation/Art: 8. I like this art/animation style. The thin long limbs and fingers are very reminiscent of early shojo. The choppy animation style adds old cartoon quirkiness. Others may not enjoy it, and that's okay.

Music: 8. I also enjoyed the music, mostly synth and drum tracks. But it was catchy and fit the vibe of the show well.

Scenery: 9. The scenery was accurate to how things look irl which was nice to see. If you want a taste of Shibuya and Ikebukuro, this is a good show to watch. Except there's a wall around Hachi the dog in Shibuya now. if you visit Japan, please do not sit on him like they do in the show... There were foreigners doing that on the news the other day. Why.

Plot: 5. There's little to no sense of story arcs. It's something new every episode. Subtle character development throughout. Typical slice of life. Good opportunity to learn some Japanese slang if you're studying the language.

Characters: 6. The characters themselves are lovable enough. There's someone for everyone to relate to. The hyper semi-brainless one who always speaks her mind, the smart and shy girl, the slightly more mature girl who does her best to be cheerful and supportive no matter the circumstances, the rich girl who is mostly there for comedy... Typical slice of life characters.

Overall: If you just want a chill anime to learn some cultural stuff, this is a decent anime to watch. If you don't care about cultural stuff and you wanted to try and discover a new hidden gem, this isn't the show for you.

I watched all six episodes of the anime Tentai Senshi SunRed. Technically, the story doesn’t really follow the hero Sunred, but rather focuses on the villain organization. The villains are actually super nice — more like good guys.

There are plenty of interesting characters, the animation style is very enjoyable, no drama, everything points to it being a solid comedy anime.

But here’s the biggest problem with this anime: it’s not funny. And even as a slice of life, it’s not interesting.

In short, the anime is just super mid.

As I approach episode 12, I honestly regret watching this anime even more. The animation is consistently substandard, with visuals that often feel stiff and lack detail, diminishing the immersive experience it should offer. Even worse, the anime is overloaded with excessive dialogue. Instead of letting the story unfold through action or character expression, we're subjected to a barrage of conversations that feel tedious and unnecessary. This significantly slows down the pacing, and boredom often sets in due to the minimal meaningful plot development. Before I begin this review, it's worth noting that I am the first to review this title on MAL, and even the first to give it a score at all. It is my belief that every anime deserves at least one proper review, deserves to have its content engaged and reckoned with. No matter how obscure it is, and no matter how long ago it was made, an anime still represents the creative passion of its creators, the hopes and dreams of the team that made it, and as such, I will give this one a fair and honest accounting here. Ketakuma no DVD is ... a trippy little anime about a GIF keyboard character, as he gets into self-contained, single-episode antics, like dancing with his friends, hallucinating in a field, or setting himself ablaze in a winter landscape to keep his friends warm. It was pretty difficult to find a way for me to watch this, but since it's already so light on dialogue, I was able to rely on Japanese captions which I then translated using external translation tools. The story is little more than what I've already described, and the skits range from lighthearted and funny to bizarre and unnerving, which is an impressive range for such an ephemeral piece. If I had to make a point of comparison, for those of you who remember, this is like a Japanese ASDF Movie. Due to how funny many of the skits are, in an absurd kind of way, I'd say the story is the strongest aspect of this title.

The art follows up behind as something that is both interesting and well-suited for the kind of comedy it wants to convey, but doesn't really stand out in ways beyond this. It is silly, simple, and at times creative, but it certainly isn't impressive on a technical level or anything.

The sound receives a similar estimation from me, expressing that silly and simple vibe that is expressed throughout thew show. The music is a bit more skillful, filling its role as a lighthearted OST while also, at times, expanding into this strange, hallucinatory score for the sake of absurdity.

As for the characters, the cast is fairly simple, and dominated by the titular character, Ketakuma. I wasn't able to get the names of the other characters, but the dog who appears pretty frequently is also a great addition. Overall, Ketakuma no DVD is an odd piece, from start to finish. Its very premise is rooted in an original character from a GIF keyboard, and the skits it decides to portray are so outlandish that one wonders how they brought together this strange creature of an anime. Overall, given how odd and fleeting this title is, some people will enjoy it and some won't. Sakamoto Days honestly didn’t work for me. The whole vibe felt off — the so-called villain didn’t feel threatening at all, he acted more like a comic relief character rather than someone serious. It’s hard to stay invested when the main antagonist feels like a joke.

The anime tries to mix comedy and action, but the balance isn’t done well. Most of the episodes felt slow and kind of pointless. Even the fights didn’t give that "wow" factor.

If you're into pure comedy maybe this might work for you, but if you're expecting good action or serious tension, this might disappoint. It felt like I was watching ...

First time writing a review for anything, because this show finally confirmed a pet peeve that I couldn't put a finger on when watching music and performance related anime. I really don't like when so much melodrama is added- via excessive monologuing, visual effects or writing- to live performances. Especially the trope of the character bombing the start of the performance and going through an intense inner soul-searching, before getting an epiphany of sorts and suddenly blowing everyone's socks off (audience: "her tone changed?!"). This is probably biased cos I'm a guitarist myself and have bombed my fair share of concerts LOL and well this ... just does not happen at all, and just takes away the immersion of the scene and reflects on poor characterization.

speaking of characterization, All the characters in this show is kinda one dimensional- school setting? just portrayed as a generic rich school full of shallow simps with supposed connections to japan's top politicians (kakegurui did this same thing better) that have no relevance at all. Otoha? her entire personality is "perfect" on the outside and swearing while playing drums, with her only motivation being wanting to have fun. How did she get so good and what influenced her playing style? not relevant i guess. Lilisa makes even less sense- her character motivations just seem to do 180s every episode between wanting her mum to be accepted into the family and a maniac that doesn't care about anything other than playing loud? So we're led to believe that embracing her true self is character growth yet she has to continue to try even harder to keep up the facade to appease her mother and achieve the nobel lady award... how much she has to train and practice for both sides of her life to be perfect is frankly unrealistic too. other band members also suffer from a one trick gimmick and are not really worth talking about. The conversations between them felt horribly tone deaf and predictable too- yea we get it rock is about yelling and cursing and seeing noble girls do that is funny and interesting haha

back to melodrama in music animes: Your lie in april does have a similar thing where Kosei's performance are full of monologuing and stylistic changes, but I'll let that pass because its integral to his character development and its more believable (dude's entire childhood was practicing 40 hours a day lol). Rock is a lady's modesty just does not feel grounded at all compared to similar titles like Bocchi the rock where each character was instead fleshed out more and their motivations translated more seamlessly into how they played live.

On the plus side gotta respect the staff that worked on this by using mocaps of actual musicians performing, and that takarajima performance alone was damn near perfect (that clip was what convinced me to watch this anyway).

This series has been a painful watch, and it's mainly because of how it's handling its characters. Hina, who has so much depth and emotional range, is being completely underutilized. Friends are thieves of time is so funny. I’m not even sure if it’s an anime or what? but every episode is super fun. Only 3 minutes each, which makes it even more enjoyable hehehe. The characters are all so pretty and cool, the background art is nice, and the animation quality is solid. I also love how natural the dialogue feels between the characters. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this anime. Eventually you watch so many that some troupes begin to grow old. 6/10 ~ Good start

Funny enough I found Elusive Samurai because I was trying to find ' Blue Eye Samurai' not realizing that was a netflix exclusive. Thinking I was going into a cross dressing revenge story about a samurai... well that made the first few episodes a bit confusing haha.

The first few ep of Elusive were extremely good, with some pretty unique visuals and an interesting story telling. Similar to Vinland Saga where both stories felt like a retelling of the events that transpired, dramatized to stay interesting, describing people with superhuman strength and abilities was a good way to tell a story like ... this. I also really enjoyed that the MC was just a complete psychopath, at the age of 9 this just makes it even crazier.

The show asks you on too many front, an expectation to enjoy it:
- be somewhat familiar with Japanese history, or atleast interested in it.
-- if you do not enjoy history alot of the plot will immediately be lost on you
- both understand and enjoy classic Japanese comedy / play write.
-- I personally found much of the comedy to either go over my head or just not to be funny. I did not enjoy the presentation which hurt it considerably.
- Japanese modern day culture, and be fine with how ANIME this is.
-- despite this taking place hundreds of years ago, it uses alot of liberty with modern day problems, comparisons and even explaining things to characters with in real world modern comparisons which... was odd to say the least. I know some real history buffs who immensely enjoy Japanese coculture and what not that could not sit through this show because of how 'ANIME' this is, unless you are an omega weeb I cannot see many getting past this.
- if you enjoyed Kingdom, this felt similar ish on many of the episodes

After the first few episodes it was very apparent of how large of a story this was trying to tell and it became increasingly obvious that this was more set up then anything, and could not and was not set up to be stand alone in any capacity, if I was not stuck on a plane I would have turned it off and waited for it to be completed down the line. Very little actually happens after the first few seasons, and honestly becomes very monster of the week formula with the lessons that the MC and his companions learn, bit boring to be honest. The graphics of that first fight you see when the MC is pushed off the cliff is where I felt the entire budget for the season went to get you to watch the show... there is almost none of that at all after the fact, really felt like a cocktease... very disappointing.

I enjoyed the MC a bit, and some of the villains were enjoyable to watch, but the entire rest of the cast was pretty bad...

For me giving this a 6/10 is pretty generous, I may re-evaluate this review when I rewatch the whole show in its entirety when it is concluded.
