The Dinner Table Detective — Solving detective cases at the comfort of your own dining table? Now that's something never done before, where the stakes of life are tantamount to the judgment of what's on the table.

Listen, I dig detective stories like the plague, and throughout the last few years or so, we've been through some of the best detective-esque settings that the AniManga industry has to offer, the likes of Summer 2023's Undead Girl Murder Farce and the series of Yuukoku no Moriarty a.k.a Moriarty the Patriot, which saw both seasons in Fall 2020 and Spring 2021, respectively. However, not every detective show is ...

Can a boy girl relationship survive, Verdict? Utter waste of time.

I feel as if I couldn’t care less about any of the characters other than the main characters male best friend because he’s kind of funny, other then that they are all cringey, messed up weirdos. Also, what is the point of enomoto??? I feel as if this show was supposed to be a sort of close competition to decide which of the two love interests would win, but it’s almost like enomoto ( black hair) is there for no reason, adds nothing to the story, or really the romance element other than her begging ...

Can a Boy-Girl Friendship Survive? (No, It Can't!!) - Damn, the blue-haired heroine curse is strong on this one to throw endless heaps of shade that end up frustrating not just her own people but the audience too at that.

Let me ask you a VERY genuine question: What comes to your mind when you think about rom-coms in general? Is it the story of a boy and a girl coming together in circumstances and situations fostered from the natural growth of dependency that they can't be separate from one another, or is it a story that friends and family will undoubtedly tease both the boy ...

So... what just happened?

Was this a tax write off or something?

So, the show is about a village of immortal magical girls occupying part of the city. Our MC, a 43 year old salaryman suddenly transforms into one and is now stuck so moves in.

Each "episode" is exactly a minute long... that includes the intro song and credits by the way.

Keep that in mind, each episode is one minute only even with the inclusion of an opening song and the 4 seconds ed (yes, I checked).

so why do I feel bad after it? Like, this thing is so weird, off putting ...

Can a Boy-Girl Friendship Survive? sounds like a type of anime written as a rom-com experiment. Even if it's intentions were different, this anime practically evokes the idea to test the limits and boundaries a friendship can exist between a boy and girl. It's the classic take on 'can a guy and girl just be friends?'

Right off the bat, we can tell this anime falls under several rom-com tropes. The typical male protagonist and their childhood friend makes their appearances in the first episode. Then, that protagonist meet a beautiful girl and thus, let the love triangle begin. Meet our main characters: Himari Inuzuka, Yuu ...

The Kawai Complex Guide to Manors and Hostel Behavior is one of those hidden gems that blends comedy, quirky characters, and subtle romance into a beautifully entertaining slice-of-life experience. Every episode was packed with light-hearted fun, unique interactions, and moments that made me smile throughout.

The story follows Usa, a high school student who moves into a boarding house filled with eccentric residents. Each character brings their own flavor of craziness, and the way they interact keeps the humor alive and fresh. At the same time, the slow-burn romance between Usa and Ritsu develops in a realistic and adorable way that makes you root for them ...

Kakegurui thrives in chaos and revels in excess. It makes no attempt to ground itself in reason or probability to say instead, it loathes restraint and embraces the unhinged with theatrical flair. What results is not a measured exploration of strategy, but a fever dream of indulgence, where each gamble feels less like a calculated risk and more like a descent into madness. And yet, that is where its charm lies in its unapologetic commitment to pushing every emotion and twist to a new unknown.

The characters orbit this madness with delightfully distinct flavors. From Midari’s gleeful masochism to Yumemi’s polished cunning, the supporting cast is ...

Are you curious about how unusual people see the world? Then this anime might be worth checking out. Makoto is a guy who feels comfortable wearing women's clothes. Ryu seems to fall for a guy even though he's supposedly not gay. And Saki is a girl who tries to please everyone but ends up lonely, mostly because of her messedup family. Honestly, her arc is pretty weird.

If that sounds interesting to you, it’s worth a watch. Just don’t expect a real story. This is more about the everyday school and home lives of three characters, with a fair amount of drama based on childhood fears ...

The wonderful world of high school. It can be such a minefield to navigate, especially if you’re a very shy and introverted student, but if you can surround yourself with good people and stick to your principles then you might be proud of yourself for everything you’ve accomplished, and you might even find love in the process.

This is pretty much the plotline of Kimi Ni Todoke where we look at the life of Kuronoma Sawako who often gets called Sadako because her appearance resembles the appearance of the girl character from the Ring movies. It’s because of this creepy name that many students have ...

one of the greatest narratives that does not disparage its ensemble characters. i spent lots of time looking up jargons in the glossary as its storybuilding is precise and rather interweaved (so i for sure found the recap episodes to be very helpful). like everyone, i'm gutted about the black kirin's storyline being cut off as it's a second favourite arc of mine after youko's. i wish they had continued this anime as it truly lives up to its reputation even to this day; but i'm comforted at the fact that there's always the light novels to read on for more. my favourite arc has ...

I rate this 6.9. It wasn't bad, but i don't feel it deserve to be rated 7+. For similar genres i feel 7+ is when the plot and execution is good. While i feel the execution of this anime is pretty good, the plot is a bit stale.

Personally, i consider anime similar to this to the isekai/trash anime category, which i don't mean in a bad way. I quite enjoy these kind of anime. You know anime that could be without any real plots, OP MC, chill, etc.

For this anime i appreciate that it's not overly cringey. Many anime of this category tend to be ...

Lots of cute and funny moments highlighting the absurdity of the situation that most people have some kind of experience they can relate to in some way or another because everybody's experience in gender is different. Super well done, and i would recommend it to anyone, though i feel like i had to have a strong background in anime to not be made totally uncomfortable. because it's very anime-y.

Demographic notes:
CGDGT enjoyers - you'll fw this
ppl who don't watch a lot of anime - includes a lot of fanservice of children, and can be seen as a little mean or harsh just because of cultural ...

Disgusting. Just gooner anime. I finished it by force There's too much fan service and the story is empty. The main character is just good
so overrated I do not recommend .People argue about whether this is a parody, a deconstruction, or just bad. Here's the basic premise from the first few episodes.A kid with a very specific delusion about being an unkillable overpowered anime character, secretly ruling the world from the shadows trains in martial arts and larps in front of people. Then he gets isekai'd when he gets hit by a truck. He gets reincarnated into a world with magic, becomes powerful, and hides ...

Most isekai nowadays are pretty mid. As an isekai fan, I'm always looking for ones with good quality.

I came across this anime by chance — since it's an older one with good animation quality, I thought, why not give it a try?

I watched the first three episodes, but I didn’t enjoy it.

The type of story just doesn’t appeal to me. I kept wondering what this ridiculous story was about — maybe it meant something back in the day.

Another thing I didn’t like was the pacing. It’s not terrible, but still feels pretty slow.

And most importantly, I didn’t feel anything — no humor, no thrill, nothing ...

DO NOT JUDGE THIS ANIME BY THE FIRST EPISODE! The first episode makes it seem like it's just going to be another generic harem slop anime, but episode 2 onwards is COMPLETELY different. I honestly don't know why they decided to structure it like this. In fact, I reckon you can completely skip episode 1, and start watching straight from episode 2. This is because episode 1 happens "in the future", and episode 2 is the actual start of the story.

So yeah, just save episode 1 for after you finish watching the anime. Or don't. It doesn't really matter. Just make sure you watch episode ...

Finally it ended and puted anime fans on verge of a term called waiting ( season 3 )
I saw and heard many negative comments regarding season even some of people said it's a downgrade etc even i though it loosed appeal beacuse of slow progress ..I started liking WB due to intense hand to hand comabt not because of character depth ( you can't expect depth in a intense shonen ) but author proved me wrong actually he stunned me with his crazy writing and introduction of new characters in a tremendous way .

Curse Sword Style VS 3 Sword Style, Let's Go

One piece the cursed of the Sacred sword Is a fun little one Piece movie, that feels like it could be so much better, if it just was constructed better story-wise.

The movie premise is good I just wish they did More With It, zolo meats a person from his past, and is now doing things that his friends does not expect. It is good, I really like it, but it just feels water down in the drama department and storywise. I just which it was fledged out more.

Girl isn't really different from all of us.

In a world where war is constant and everyone is powerful, what can we do as ordinary people to change it? What can we do to change OUR world?

As an One Piece fan for almost 20 years something always felt missing for me since although the political message is there and we can resonate with a reasonable amount of the characters in the show, it lacked something to put me in their shoes. Then there's Girl. You'll cry with her tears of joy, you'll be frustrated with her, you'll vibrate with her, you'll go all over adventures ...

If you only want to watch a bunch of kids punching each other, this isn't the anime for you. But if you're into series with character growth, healing from trauma, and a splash of action, you'll love this one.

I've said it many times before and I'll keep saying it as much as I need to: this is not your average action-focused shounen fist fight anime, and that especially shines starting in the 2nd season. The main overarching focus of this series is and has always been Sakura's growth and healing from an emotionally stunted and traumatized kid. Everything that happens, whether or not Sakura ...

5.5/10 ~ Just more of the same

This anime just felt safe, they did almost the exact same thing and honestly it got a bit boring tbh. Next to no character development or world building pas one of the last scenes of the final episode which more or less left this on a cliff hanger.

It was quite funny to watch them incorporate Fortnight / Real modern Battle royal mechanics to the show like a shrinking map... but fortnight was already popular when the 1st season came out so honestly it made no sense that was not a mechanic in the 1st season.

If you're looking for a Samurai/Ninja anime, this isn't it. It feels like a series made by a kid.

The characters feel more like power-rangers or DBZ characters, each shooting lazers out of their @$$es or some other weird abilities that make no sense. It is very much targeted at kids, the covnersations are bland and it is just sooooo cringe all over.

Some examples of how characters fight: puke attacks, elastic rubber body parts, ninja without arms/legs attackign using their TONGUE, magic butterflies, catching weapons with their hair, and of course: the typical fat character doing 'fat guy stuff''... it is kinda ridiculous, so stereotypical and ...

I really enjoyed the core concept of this series. I'm a big fan of secret worlds, D&D, fantasy, sci-fi, and extreme violence. This show has all of that. It has one glaring issue that actively disgusted me. The "fanservice" and sexualization of the main characters that are children. There are multiple scenes throughout the first season that have the main character naked, bathing, or trying to look at her companion's robotic child genitalia. Another child is consistently discussed as "smelling good". Without major spoilers, season 2 begins with the sexual assault of a child within the first 30 seconds. While season 2 has a much ...

If I were to rate ONLY the anime with the music videos, I would give it about an 8.5, but if everything about the MILGRAM experience is included, it brings it up to a 10

Story - 8
The plot in terms of the MILGRAM prison largely goes unexplored for the entirety of the series. Like sure, we get a report, but we don't get to really see what happened (except in T3). This is something that I think should be explored further than just the small wholesome manga chapters we get occasionally on twitter/X. However, this seems more realistic, particularly in the setting of a psych/social ...

I knew this show was going to go downhill the moment he went to that stupid school. The whole draw of the show is that the guy's a rebel. He gives criminals medical attention and has to keep his medical practice discreet, because he's unlicensed. Kept things interesting despite the whole "OP MC doesn't know he's OP and he has a harem" cliche. Putting him in some boring school, with annoying characters, a boring plot, and a way-too-forgiving conclusion for a villain dropped this from a 6 to barely a 5. Another case of an interesting premise being fed to ...

The story takes place in a chaotic world of sorcery and devilish shenanigans. One of its unfortunate victims, Caiman, mysteriously loses his head and memory with it. He and his best friend, tomboy chef Nikaido, survive in a violent slum called Hole, occasionally attempting to find new clues about the sorcerer who "stole" Caiman's head.
Unlike most action-heavy shows, there is no good side in the world of Dorohedoro. Sorcerers are elitist magic supremacists who treat weaker ones as guinea pigs for their demented designs, while tough environments in the Hole turned people into savages fighting for their survival. To keep characters on both sides ...

I'd give it an 8 if it were better, but 7 is good enough. It wasn't good in the sense that it's GOOD, it was good in the sense that it was entertaining and funny, but not good like most genuinely good anime, so it's more of a 7.4-7.6, rather than 8, which is classified as very good. I did really like this, though I just don't feel like it deserves "Very Good". It's light hearted and while there isn't very much depth and it is a bit shallow in terms of not going very deep, it's not bad. If you're looking for an anime ...

Hey, this may not be you're regular review, so walk with me here, okay?
I always like to think of Solo Leveling like going to a restaurant, you're seated & after looking over the menu, you finally decide on something; just a regular grilled cheese. You get your food & it's just like you ordered, just a grilled cheese, nothing new to it, a bit of butter to cook the bread, but that's about it, nothing special about the cheese either. This anime is actually pretty fun, and I don’t understand all the hate.
Sure, the animation isn’t top-tier, and let’s be honest — most of the visual effort went into animating Takane’s boobs. But despite that, I found the show genuinely engaging. It keeps you watching, always ending episodes on cliffhangers — kind of like Turkish dramas (P.S. those always cut off right at the most exciting part).
I haven’t watched a lot of ecchi, but this was the first time I saw actual relationship development, main character growth, and a hint of a decent plot — so I really enjoyed it.

General:
An anime with one of the stories where technology, especially virtual world technology, is advanced and people are connected to this virtual world and someone's struggle to become a god in this world.

I must say that I was a little disappointed when I expected an anime like Ghost in the Shell before watching it.

I've had this show on my watchlist for a long time. I was intrigued by the premise, I like mature mystery shows, I like in depth worlds and magic systems. Unfortunately for me, all Cop Craft seems content to do is deliver its premise straightforwardly and barely scrape by in every other aspect. I was still intrigued by how the plot would progress. I mostly wanted to learn what the villan's ultimate plan would be and learn more about the world and magic system. However, other reviews have already enlightened me to the fact that this show doesn't have a magic system so much as ...

General:
An anime that includes sword fighting, vampirism and a kind of love story. Although the vampirism part is not exactly a vampirism event as we understand it. Vampirism is used as a kind of object of reaching eternity. It also includes a bit of a time travel story but not in a very emphasized way.

Good Side:
- I think it had an engaging plot. The mysterious story it contains constantly makes you wonder what will happen in the next episode.

- The poetic songs sung while showing parts from the previous episode at the beginning of each episode were very nice.

- The drawing quality was good.

I feel like all the debate on incest could've been avoided by changing the title to Shiunji Family Foster Home. You know, those families that adopt children? Of course that would change some of the issues they face, but they can still keep the "You're like a family to me".

On the other hand, I'm curious on why they make Shion one of the family members in the first place. All that I saw him do was like the role of a friend in your typical romcom. Even then he still didn't have much purpose, he's like a bystander. Doesn't mean I hate him though. He ...

Another great season delivered by Wind Breaker.

Keeping up the spirit of the first season, this one focused on Sakura's character growth, as well as strengthening the bonds with the people around him. By the end of Season 2, it's pretty clear that this Sakura is the complete opposite of who he was at the very beginning of the story. He’s gradually starting to accept others, engage with his surroundings, and rely on his buddies. It was a great experience following his journey.

The season also gave time to shine to several side characters. We were introduced to new faces, each with well-executed backstories that added depth ...

This will be a simple review of my favourite anime franchise, so I'll be concise.

This anime is seriously such a vibe... It has amazing visuals, an amazing and quite comfy atmosphere like no other, phenomenal OSTs, charismatic and badass characters, plot twists, groundbreaking action, an ACTUAL good MC in Shiro, etc.

It's a very unique series that doesn't have annoying tropes that you tend to see in many anime nowadays.

Honestly, the ONLY flaw this series has is the fan service, but at the same time, there's for both the male and female audience (more for the female side 100% with it's very attractive male cast), so ...

I didn't really like the first two parts of Jojo, but oh my god, was this one a drag. The animation is serviceable, though the OP is one of the best of all time without a doubt. Music is okay I guess. Everything else was not great.

Back when I first joined MAL, which I believe was sometime in the Devonian Period, I frequently reviewed ultra edgy schlock, bad hentai, and other fodder to create short, comedic reviews. However, I was entirely focused on the male experience. There’s actually an untapped goldmine of schlock shoujo that I completely missed! Today, I will rectify this mistake by taking a look at Peach Girl.

I want to start off by saying at least one nice thing about Peach Girl. The music is pretty good and that extends to both the OP and ED. Honestly, nothing to complain about in this department. The mangaka also has ...

There's a reason why most people think that if Gintama didn't have the "serious arcs", it wouldn't have been as popular.

So, this series has a lot of jokes that would DEFINITELY get it cancelled if it released currently.

And you can't even use the argument of: "it's a comedy bro, anything can happen..." when we're talking about uncomfortable borderline predatorial sexual comments, stalking jokes and annoying fan service that get MUCH worse as episodes go by in arcs where nothing happens. And those arcs are very common btw, in fact they pretty much constitute 90% of this series.

So, besides the younger audience, who is supposed ...

I gave Macross 7 as fair of a shot as I could give. I love Macross and have a fair stomach for an all-cheese diet, but this is essentially one cour of a show that combines Sailor Moon and Kidd Video and stretches it to FORTY-NINE episodes (Plus character-vital special episodes they apparently no time for)... and Kidd Video still has more songs. Only the last ten episodes move at what I would call an acceptable pace, and even then, it's paying off tween-level material where the audience would be better served watching things like... Sailor Moon.

It starts with the main character. Basara, bro, ...

You come here expecting to see fights and find a story about getting in touch with your emotions. And no, that's not a complaint; on the contrary, it's a story that was needed.

Wind Breaker had already shown its potential with its first season, and this second season had the hard work of consolidating and reaching the next level. Which it achieved without a doubt. In every possible way, Wind Breaker is a quality production, from the animation to the script and even the fight choreography. Still, despite already having everything to become a great action anime, it decides not to settle and goes one step ...

Why does every anime these days have to come with deep lore, an insane expanded universe, and some mind-bending “we accounted for every blade of grass” level of world building? Like, does it really need to be some galaxy-brain, life-altering epic just to be considered good?

Sometimes I just want something simple. Life is already complicated enough. This anime was a perfect casual, after-work vibe. Yeah, I even watched some of it at 2x speed. No shame. The Beginning After the End is a great manhwa that I stopped reading at chapter 140. The manhwa had a nice visual style, interesting characters, and an engaging setting. I really liked it.

A few years after I stopped reading it, I somehow forgot about it. Even when I saw the title again, I thought, “Hmm, another isekai?” Then I saw the rating and figured, “Let’s give it a try as a weekly watch.” But from the first episode, I was reminded that it was that manhwa I once read—and I thought, “Wait, wait, wait... what? I found the premise original and enjoyable, with a good narrative that didn't leave me lost, I found the pace of the competition favorable and enjoyable.

I don't write reviews, but I just couldn't let this one pass. As someone who enjoyed Season 1, I went into Wind Breaker Season 2 with high hopes and left disappointed. The first season had solid fights, some fun character moments, and ended on a promising cliffhanger. Season 2 keeps the great animation and high-energy battles, but the overall experience feels less focused. The emotional beats often fall flat, and the pacing doesn’t build the same level of excitement or investment.

There’s also far too much talking mid-fight, which kills the momentum. Instead of sharp inner monologues or tactical decision-making, we get drawn-out speeches and forced ...

Personally I understand how people missed more action in this season, however that doesn't make the season bad it's just different. I loved how it really gave depth to characters we knew like Sakura as well as new characters like Tsubakino (idk why some people really hated this character).

As someone who has read the manga, I can say this season gives us all the information needed to understand the fight that is about to happen, because without the context and character development it would be rather meaningless. So even if someone is reading this just because of the action and has no interest in ...

What can I say? I'm just a sucker for a good shonen.

We’re back at it again punching our way through another stellar season! S2 brings us deeper into the world of Bofurin, with new enemies, new teams, and more hilariously flustered moments from Sakura hahaha.

We're seeing a lot more interactions between Sakura's team members and it's REALLY funny watching them together. The way they act around each other is like a dysfunctional family, but in a good way. Sure they may try to kill one another sometimes, but at the end of the day, they know they’re one unit and need to stick together.

It's perfectly aight. The characters are real goofy and over the top but likeable and the dynamics between characters is interesting and deep. The characters are the best part of this show. My favorite is the relation between Sol and Sin. It has a real mentor-kid dynamic and I love how non-verbal it is. You don't need to be told to see the layers and how each of their personalities rub against each other. Good stuff.

Is the animation trash? Yes.
Is the animation the reason for the show being trash? No.

It's a childish formulaic isekai with your typical character tropes and minimal deviation: we have seen this plot with these characters before a thousand times. This one is the same formula badly executed, and not even fun-bad, just bad-bad.

Bonus rant:
People are saying that the source material is so much better, so I read the webtoon after watching this.

Windbreaker season 2 was an improvement over the first season in almost every way to me. Its writing, character development, emotional moments and overall flow were much better than season 1. The only thing I’d say it’s slightly weaker in is the fighting and that’s just because this season prioritized character development and story over action. This cour feels like the real starting point of the series as we finally get our first big overarching bad, Sakura really comes into his own not just as a member of Bofurin, but a leader who inspires those around him and it feels like the story has a ...
